Russo with Vince was pretty good when Russo went to wcw he was burned out and had nobody to bounce ideas of like Vince who could help fit his ideas into proper wrestling structure. People always criticize his wcw stuff but I think he saw the inmates running the asylum and just decided to see how far he could take things. Cornette is better with the internal workings and logic of the business but his booking style is decidedly old school his shoots are goat though.

russo is a fucking hack. Cornette has shit together for the most part.

Obviously Russo, he's past beyond his peak however. Jim Cornetto is only good for setting up wrestling nerdfests and sell them overpriced homemade DVDs. This dude is not for success, while Russo was a lead writer in the last wrestling boom!

They're both faggots and wrong. You can't have one without the other. Just look at WWE right now, the matches on RAW and Smackdown each week are better than they've ever been, not to mention NXT, but the fucking books is terrible, so the overall product suffers. But the reverse can also be true, Ruthless Aggression era booking was generally pretty solid, but the matches were lackluster, so the product suffered. The last time the booking and the talent were both truly great in WWE was the golden era.

either way both storyline and wrestling should be working to serve each other, you can not have either be shit, and still expect it to be taken serious. a garbage wresling match is gonna ruin a storyline even if it were written by shakespeare, and if there's no reason for two guys to be in a ring beating the shit out of each other we might as well be watching mma.

Cornette is the safe way to go, with him you'll never get too high or too low. Russo is boom or bust, when he's good it's fucking amazing and you want more, but when he's bad it's the drizzling shits and you want to die.
