What martial art looks really cool to onlookers but is still practical to learn?
>>756738
mma
>>756738
Hung Gar.
Boxe Español.
Box-American.
Jiu-Do.
Hung-Chi Chuan.
Emei Overturning fist.
Yue Family boxing - pretty useless to be honest.
>>756759
I forgot to add, besides having little actual applicable advice on functional martial arts, I find shoving bigger and bigger dildos into my anus makes it easier when Allison's many black friends with AIDS want to take turns lubelessly ramming my tender hiney with their bulging venous cocks. Since I practice with monster dildos, I can take two black cocks in my ass at once, but I can only deepthroat one at a time
>>756745
I thought of that, but somehow I never thought it looked very interesting, though I understand why a lot of people take an interest in it.
I always thought Chinese martial arts looked cool, but a lot of them aren't super practical, aren't they?
>>756738
Boxing + tai chi. Do both and you'll be the coooolest guy out there
>>756752
>Boxe Español.
what the fuck is boxe español?
>>756738
judo throws.

>>756814
seriously this.
Judo looks very cool. and its effective as you can fucking throw people on their heads
>>756738
Kyokushin kick combos are spectacular
>>756752
Could you stop triping?
>>756863

Taekwondo is great, flashy but still usable, especially since real taekwondo places will teach grappling and how to use arms as well.
Good luck trying to find an actually good place to learn though.
Bajiquan. FMA. The latter is one second fancy sword dancing, one second dirty ass nigger tactics. It's fucking fun.
>>756738
>practical to learn
You mean like it's "easy to learn", or "it will come in handy in a real-life self-defense situation"
there is only one answer: Aikido
the most wow effect to onlookers would probably be a big shoulder/hip throw, suplex or a head kick. so judo, wrestling or TKD i guess
>>756977
>aikido
>>756973
The latter
>>756997
>>756738
Pentjak silat and bjj.
>>756738
Judo. Throws are cool, they also work.
Boxing, obviously.
BJJ and Muay Thai are also high on the impressive and practical list.
>>757045
>>757443
>BJJ and Muay Thai are also high on the impressive and practical list.
Depends on who you're trying to impress.
You ever noticed how a lot of ground cuddling has been booed in the octagon?
>>757448
Yeah, when you get a couple of highly skilled ground grapplers going at it, it looks boring to the layman.
When you see a highly skilled submission artist tooling someone with less skill, it looks pretty impressive, though.
>>756738
>>756834
Damn I wish my kicks were that clean.
Seriously OP, If you can master TKD kicks then your balance and agility with be god tier. I prefer low kicks for practicality, but the spin kicks are bad ass.
Balance this with some judo and ground work and you will look cool and have some functional skills.
>>757929
>I prefer low kicks for practicality, but the spin kicks are bad ass.
You can do spinning kicks and turning kicks low.
Judo and/or FMA come to mind
The throws of judo are both impresive to just about anyone, but also super effective.
And the coordination and pardner drills of FMA look impressive, but the art does focus mainly on bashing and cutting the fuck out of the other guy while not having the same done to you, and is pretty effective.
Boxing
Just look at the crowds, movies and televised events. People love nothing more than 2 people knocking the shit out of each other.
>>757934
My knees hurt watching that.

Check this out, it's pretty cool

A breakdown of a match ending armbar by Ronda Rousey and how she got to it throughout the match. Discussed by two Gracies.
>>762488
This is amazing..
But I liked this more (because of the animation), its an older fight:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ST48uAp-Xco
What I find is so amazing about Ronda is not only how clean and devastating her techniques are, but her scrambling, how fast she can switch from one techniques to the next one. She literally fucks up her opponents mind, because Ronda keeps the initiative the whole time and her opponents can only foresee one movement or even the next one, but eventually Ronda does something they don't expect and BOOM they get turned and armlocked. I whish my Judo was half as good..

I'm spanish and what is this
Muay thai.. first time i went to a fight gym. Saw the muay thai guys sparring. The sound when the.roundhouse connects. BAMM. Fell in love ever since

Please tell me this is a real app. I don't wanna look, I'll probably blow an artery in the middle of work.

>MFW I could knockout all three of you basement dwelling fatties at the same time
>>763745
Its a real shame how this board has gone from a majority of people that actually do athletics to a ton of mandrama watching neckbeards.
>>763818
i think they'll calm down soon, they're just hurt they got kicked out.
>>763828
>Since i'm a pathetic piece of lard and post on 4chan, everone else that posts on 4chan must be as disgusting as me!
Turn off monday night RAW and go hit the nearest boxing gym.
>>762538
To be fair, while Ronda is very good, I think a lot of the top fighters have this ability. It's almost muscle memory.
Cool video btw.
>>763875
This. A wave of new people to a board eventually dies down as they become integrated.
I think an exception can be made for the horsefuckers though. They truly are messed up.
>>764009
>yfw you realize mandrama fans are the horsefuckers of sports fandom.
>>763996
I never got to see Hogan much in his prime. I always watched Sting and NWO back in the day when I was a wee lad, then after over 10 years, I started watching WWE around the time of Wrestlemania 22/23.
>>763996
Stop discussing play fighting in an MMA thread.
>>764103 cont'd
Ronda is a clever and skilled fighter, but I think if someone focuses and trains hard enough to avoid being put into an armbar, it'll give them a good chance against Rousey.
She also picks her fights wisely.
>>756738
Tai Chi, when played back at normal speed instead of the speed you practice at.

Chin duwa yne. It translates as:
The People's Elbow. It was an ancient martial art from the 1670's. Beautiful flowing style and devastating attacks. There's still a couple dojos that teach it in the US.
>>763690
it's becoming one
>>765326
I don't get why it had so many negative thumbs, it was pretty funny.
