How long does it take to learn to Ollie if you just started skating? Been skating for like 3 days, for an hour or two each day. Mostly learning just basic cruising and tic tacing but I spend a little time each day trying to pop my board. Also, is there any difference between "skate shoes" and just plain flat bottomed sneakers?

This is all true if you by longboarding you mean cruising. Serious longboarding is the racing scene. Being able to take a hairpin at up to 70-100kph and nailing the tighest line whilst being less than a foot away from another rider.

Cruising though is shit and it makes the sport I love look like its for pussys. Seriously the sport doesn't come into itself till your idea of a cruise is 40kph.

I started skating again at 25. I skated from 12-19 but wasnt very good. The best I could do was varial flip and go off 3 stairs and big ledges. It was mostly street skating. I feel like I got a meme skateboard.

When I went to buy it I was looking for brands that I was used to from around 2005. I couldn't get a shortys, deca, world industries, black panther bearings.

What happened to those brands?

I want to Start skateboarding , there is not many variety to buy where im from in terms of brands etc .can i just go And buy an element full skateboard or maybe its a bad idea? I dont want to be pro just want to skate, learn some tricks And chill
