They deliberately DID cut to the audience in that one - to show it airing on the titantron.

That was probably done to make it appear convincing that the audience chants were live.

In fact, the whole promo could well have been pre-taped, with the chants edited on while the arena was still empty. I know everybody backstage had a problem with getting good promos out of Ryback, so taping them in advance seems a fairly likely possibility.
