It was to mirror the ending to WM20, which was an amazing moment for the ages, that they can never use in their footage.
>>
>>2703527
He was good. I wouldn't say I'm a fan of him, but I still liked when he was on. Although I think the fact that he managed to bring the crowd to life is what I liked more about him during his run. Crowds are so dead, and sometimes will even work to make the show worse. If WWE hired a bunch of people to attend the show and he positive the TV ratings would probably double.

But yeah Bryan was pretty good as the kind of guy who could help carry shows even if he wasn't in the main event. But still has the ability to be a main eventer if he's needed. He had a way of swapping between mid-card and main event with such grace, as opposed to a lot of current wrestlers where you have no idea what the card even is.

It was Batista's idea. Anti-smarks BTFO by their own hero.

>Over as fuck

Another morn equating crowd pop/reaction to being over. Ratings, attendance, PPV buys, etc. say different. You don't have a clue what being over means. If that hobbit was "over as fuck" every house show he was on would have been sold out like they were when Austin & Rock were on top not 3,000 - 5,000 people.

>always put on good matches

Subjective. I always turned his match off unless he was wrestling somebody I cared about like Batista or Reigns.

>the last full time ratings draw

Daniel Bryan's title reign: RAW on 12th May 2014 drew a 2.88 rating - the lowest of the year. Prior to that show RAW's the 2nd & 4th worst ratings of the year also came during Daniel Bryan's title reign.

His retirement lost 700,000 viewers.

"Daniel Bryan wasn't setting world of fire, when it came to ratings in certain segments, live attendance, same thing with CM Punk......the numbers just weren't there to support that he was over to the level that certain fans thought he was." - former WWE writer Kevin Eck
>>
>>2703662
>Daniel Bryan's title reign: RAW on 12th May 2014 drew a 2.88 rating
Bryan was injured and only came out to do a speech, the main """draw""" with him injured was evolution. Do the maths.

His RAW after mania is the highest rated and his actual run as champion has the highest average rating since the rock.

I'm sorry but the Undertakers streak being broken was a much bigger draw than Bryan

the increased interest was for that, if people cared about Bryan then his retirement speech would have at least spiked ratings a little bit
>>
>>2703686
>With heavy promotion going to Daniel Bryan's return to officially announce his retirement from professional wrestling, viewers were up significantly for this week's episode of Monday Night Raw from Seattle. The show garnered 3.72 million viewers, way up from last week's 3.38 million for the return of Brock Lesnar.

Don't fucking insult my intelligence.

Regardless if Daniel Bryan was injured he still appeared on the May 12, 2014 RAW & was heavily advertised. He had a in-ring segment & usually in-ring promos usually draw better than in-ring action.

So stop fucking making excuses.

His run as Champion was highest average rating since The Rock....he had the title for a cup of coffee & average increased by a measly 0.16...talk about clutching at straws.

I like Bryan a lot but it's amazing to watch the re-writing of history happen before your eyes. I remember constantly reading that he didn't move numbers and there is of course the argument that he wasn't presented well enough to move numbers but people now, like in this thread, throw around quotes like "huge star", "the most over guy in years", the audience wanted him over Cena etc. His own retirement show did worse numbers than the show 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after. The third hour with Bryan's retirement speech dropped nearly 600,000 viewers from the hour before. If that was someone who hardcores didn't love he would be crucified.

in what world are you living in where this would be the case? Vince is a bigger draw than pretty much everyone in history bar Austin, Hogan and Rock.

My God you're a complete idiot.

Bryan fanboys act like Bryan was biggest thing since Austin, Rock, Hogan despite facts i.e. numbers proving otherwise.

His retirement didn't bomb ratings, viewership was up from Lesnar's return and was consistent with ratings around it. The third hour was better than 3 of the previous 4 raws.

His average rating as champ was higher than anyone since the Rock and the highest full time rating since the summer of Punk.

His RAW after mania as champ is the only one to increase viewership since 2012.

Seriously though, I have shares in WWE so naturally I want them to do well. Bryan did nothing but tank business and it's because of people like him and Punk that we're stuck in the situation we are now. When they substituted stars for movez, half the audience switched over to something else. We need to undo all the damage these tiny, fragile indie guys did and get the fans back. I'm not saying Reigns is the answer, but he's certainly better than midgets like Bryan & Punk.
>>
Daniel Bryan didn't really do anything for the Summerslam or Wrestlemania he headlined that wasn't just business as usual except with more vocal base audience excitement. The previous 2 Manias (29, 28) as well as the next 2 Manias (31, 32) greatly outperformed the Daniel Bryan centered Mania by significant margins

1) Wolfcuc is you, we know you post here.
2) Rating were up 0.16, in an otherwise declining environment due to tv decline, Daniel Bryan is stronger than tv decline. Bryan's reign also was the highest in ratings among the last 15 champions, pic related.
3) Merch sales:
http://www.wrestlezone.com/news/471663-who-is-second-behind-john-cena-in-merchandise-sales-wwe-looking-at-ncaa-champion-for-future

and

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1991258-wwe-news-daniel-bryans-merchandise-sales-confirm-hes-an-a-player

And Bryan was second top seller even in 2015 despite wrestling only 2 months, above Romanetty.

>>
>>2703755
>The previous 2 Manias (29, 28) as well as the next 2 Manias (31, 32) greatly outperformed the Daniel Bryan centered Mania by significant margins
because Bryan's mania was right at the start of the transition to the network.

>WWE also claimed it was the fifth consecutive year that WrestleMania broke the host venue's highest-grossing entertainment event record.
>On the day of the event, WWE claimed that the event had drawn $10.9 million in ticket revenue at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans with an attendance figure of 75,167
>WWE later claimed that WrestleMania XXX had a $142.2 million economic impact on New Orleans, generated $24.3 million in local taxes and that 79% of attendees were from outside of New Orleans. The figures were higher than those of the previous two WrestleManias.

but they were up with him

how can he be the start of downward ratings if they were upward?

cognitive dissonance of neethammer
>>

From WM 2015 to WM 2017 WWE has
600k network subriscribers and -1.7 million viewers

>Ratings were up during Bryan's reign

You mean the Reign where he hardly appeared on the weekly shows and put on cringefests like his Extreme Rules match? Yeah he was clearly what was keeping asses in seats

You fucking Bryan smarks are so delusional

Wolfcuck is utterly pathetic and has posted about 80 times ITT
>>
>>2703983
Yeah, after he won title he took time off because he's a weak fragile midget plus he had even more time off because his father passed away. Bryan mark want to ignore that though not that the tiny percentage rating increase matters.
>>
>>2703983
It sure-as-shit wasn't the middle-aged reunion tour of the guys who killed ratings over a decade prior

>hardly appeared

He missed one show. ONE.

cringe

And you're getting basic facts wrong.

Never got the appeal of the guy, sorry.

NeetHammer triggered

Let me trigger you a bit more:

repeat with me:
Daniel Bryan +0.02
Roman Reignetty -0.46-0.27= -0.73

BTFO

Over a million viewers net loss.
>>
>>2704041
So why do (You) keep posting here?
>>
>>2704075
Bryan = retired bc he's weak

Reigns = THE GUY for next decade

Who is BTFO now? not me.

"no"

The WWE's shareholders

>get anointed THE GUY
>over 1.3 MILLION people tune out

And how is Bryan weak? Never saw him in body armour.
>>
>>2703527 I miss wrestlers that speak genuinely in a kayfabe context, like that time he skewered Orton, saying he didn't have the heart of a champion, that one was good.
>>
>>2704108
ratings never hit a 3 since he was champ, bucko
>>
>5 single mentions of a tripfags name
this board needs help
>>
Anti-smarks are so dumb they don't understand how numbers work.
>>
>>2703527

Much like Daniel himself, I can't remember much that he did.
>>
>>2705028
Have a terrible title run after everybody put him over at mania. Showed up to raw 2 times for a grand total of 5mins during that run.
>>
>>2703676
That chart shows a gradual decline over the past 12 years, regardless of who is champion. WWE should be out of business in a few years if they don't find a way to bring people back in.
>>
>>2703548
You could do this with any wrestler, and you know it.
>>
>>2703568
A little guy clamping on with a death grip, forcing a bigger guy to tap is more believable, and protects Batista more than, "he kicked the shit out of me and/or overpowered me so much I couldn't get up in three seconds", IMO.
>>
>>2703542
he was the reason i started watching wrestling in the first place
>>
>>2705382
I quit watching WWE when Bryan was on top. His push was cringe.
>>
>>2705043
>had a 15-minute match with Alberto

>>2705044
The point is Bryan reversed said trend and Reigns accelerated it.
>>
>>2703568
Batista has been damaged as a wrestler who can hold out against submissions ever since John Cena made him tap out in mere seconds with the STF.
>>
