Matt Riddle spoke with Sporting News on a number of wrestling topics. Here are some of the highlights:
Goldberg:

He's an old man who hits a jackhammer and a spear. He can't even do a kimura. If Bill wants to go in the gym, there doesn't even have to be cameras, if he wants to roll and train and see what it's like to be in the ring with a real stallion, he can. Any day, any time. Bill Goldberg is a pro wrestler. I do sport wrestling. I'm a real fighter. I'm a real athlete. I'm a sport athlete. He did football then parlayed that into doing a spear and jackhammer and then WCW let him go 250-0 and he got over. Let me beat Hulk Hogan in one minute, clean, for the title and see how my stock rises. It doesn't matter who you put in that situation. It just so happens they take the guy that couldn't wrestle for over a minute or two. And he's responsible for ruining Bret Hart's career and others and I could go on. There's multiple reasons why I don't like Goldberg and, foremost, it's because he doesn't deserve it."

HHH told le metlz he's mostly putting him out there to develop him and see if he could tough it out, hence why he immediately hooked him up with Evolve. That's not something he does with others, it's like how Johnny ace used to send people to japan and if they became something would get them back and if not would just cut the loses, he did that with people like Omega, he wouldn't do it for some faggot like Josh Mathews. Riddle improves at an insane rate but when he proves he can keep the drug habit in check or at least as in check as Orton does he'll be on the main roster in 3 years as a top guy.

This is a clip where The Miz is mentoring DB and taking him under his wing teaching him the ropes of the WWE.

Ok 1st of all, he wasn't as good as the Miz at the start but I agree he is better now, mainly because he was still a rookie when he first started hence why he was paired with the Miz as he could teach him.
