>Austin was such a talent! He could have gotten over anywhere with any gimmick!
Then how come Austinetty couldn't get over in WCW?

Backstage politics once wcw got their hands on Vince's goons

I don't know who Steve Austin is, I just see a picture of the Ringmaster.
No one says this though. Everyone says literally everything was perfect which made Austin as succesful as he was
He was won singles and tag titles, then got fired by dipshits, ya dipshit
>>2398664
>winning titles=being over
'no'
>>2398635
This
Bischoff asked Austin to job to WCW's Ultimate Warrior ripoff and flipped his shit when Austin said no.
>>2398654
That's stunning Steve Austin 18+
You could literally say this about anyone.
How come HHH couldn't get over as Jean-Paul? Or why couldn't Hogan get over without stealing Superstar Billy Graham's gimmick?
>>2398745
Hogan was over no matter what he did
>>2398745
How come CM Punk couldn't get over as... Oh shit!
Booking matters.
>>2398635
>IT WAS DA EBUL BACKSTAGE POLITICS!!!
You sound like an alt-righter
>>2398654
Kek you literally get your wrestling knowledge from WWE Network documentaries.
>The Ringmaster
>WCW TV title
>>2398822
What the fuck are you even trying to say?
>>2398849
are you fucking retarded?
Austin was promised a US title run with Harley Race as his manager, didn't get it, got put together with Pillman, definitely was getting over with the Hollywood Blondes, but they split him up before they ever peaked.
He was booked like shit in favor of all the old 80's wrestlers, which is the very reason WCW was doomed to fail in the first place. ECW was planting seeds left and right in young stars, and WWF would give them the tv time and opportunity to run with their gimmicks.
No one was getting over in WCW when they were trying to put geezers in the top spot forever.
>>2398889
Knowledge fag
Austin was going nowhere in the WCW. Hogan had to light a fire under his ass
>>2398603
>WCW
outlaw shit doesn't matter fag, only the big leagues do. now get back to writing 30,000 word essays on why mitsubishi suzuki is better than cena, geek
He also got the opportunity to talk and learn how to cut god tier promos in ECW
>>2398660
nah he really was a GOAT talent, he had character and charisma like almost nobody else and played it well in drastically different roles
he was getting over in WCW but got shafted numerous times

>He could have gotten over anywhere with any gimmick!
Except no one has ever said that.
He could get over anywhere with the rattlesnake gimmick for sure, but yes, he had to go through a lot of dumb gimmicks to get there
>>2398603
Austin would have never gotten over so big if Vince hadn't become a full-time performer.
>>2398849
>alt-righter
Back to /r/politics faggot
They held him down in WCW
>>2400435
Yes, but he reached the zenith in his feud with Vince.
I've never heard that argument before. From what I understand Austin was upset with WCW about not getting opprotunities. Considering he became the GOAT once he went to WWE he might be onto something
>>2398603
Austin was over in WCW as a Hollywood Blonde but WCW was politics cancer.
>>2400443
Vince didn't make Austin more over than he already was.
18+
>>2398849
>>2400443
Austin was a megstar after the Tyson feud
>>2398849
and you sound like a guy who faps to cuckold porn, eat a dick
>>2398984
Heyman lit the fire under him.
>>2398603
Hairline
Why are you fags still talking about the Ringmaster?
>>2398984
>the WCW
this triggers me so baaaad. The World Championship Wrestling does not roll of the tongue (and is not quite grammatically correct) as The World Wrestling Federation.
>>2399106
this
OP is legitimately stupid and probably says Cuck in real life
>>2402674
This.
It gets me when they say LIVE ON WWE NETWORK too, clearly there should be a THE in there to make it sound correct.
Austcucketty
Young Steve Austin looks like a buff Alex Jones
>>2398660
go back and watch him and pillman as the hollywood blondes
they were fucking awesome
wcw had lightning in a bottle and they pissed it away
>>2398603
He just needed a little guidance. He finally realized his potential under Mr. McMahon's master tutelage.
>>2404881
>Stone Cold gimmick originated in Heyman's basement
Reminder that Vince never wanted to push Austin and thought he'd never be more than a jobber-to-the-stars mechanic, signing him without ever watching him cut a promo.
>>2404904
This isn't true at all. Vince saw something in Austin and encouraged him to be all that he could be. Vince is unironically the most important man in wrestling history. Just see the Roman plan through and you'll come to see things for what they are.
>>2404924
Are you calling your beloved Vince a liar? Because there's footage of him saying this.
>>2404935
I would like to see the footage and please no cheap imitation actor Vince. I know the real Vince when I see him.
>>2404904
I always heard it was Shane and Patt Patterson who pushed for Austin to be a main eveter
