So can we admit that old TNA was actually pretty damn good yet?

current TNA is pretty good too.
>>
>>2245081
Only Stamford Wives think otherwise
>>
>>2245081
25/75

some highs (mostly 2004-2005) lots lows
>>
Only 05/06, 07, and 2011/2 was good
>>
>>2245093
No. It's dead.

Big Tunes Billy could have saved it, though.
>>
>>2245081
2004-2009 were pretty GOAT alongside ROH
>>
>>2245081
Sharkoy GOAT wrestler
>>
>>2245081
I liked it. Now that Scott D'Amore is back working backstage, it may get back to that level
>>
>>2245122
Nope. As long as John Gaburick is there it won't get better.

If Billy Corgan had become the majority owner and cleaned house then maybe they might of had a chance for a resurgence.
>>
>>2245153
This. Dixie ruined everything.
>They get hot for the first time in years because of Broken Matt.
>People are willing to at least check into it. >People excited that Corgan might take over. >It all goes to shit.
>>
>going back and watching TNA from 10 years ago
>The fucking amazing roster
>The small but dedicated crowd are loud as fuck compared to the crickets today

Depressing what wasted potential there was. Vince ruined the business with his monopoly
>>
>>2245304
Yes. Vince was behind Dixie, Hogan, Bischoff and Russo.

2006 - 09 TNA was amazing until Hogan shat all over it
>>
>based Christian Cage never got a real push in WWE even though his TNA and ECW proved he was better than any of the shitbirds they've pushed instead

What did LOLWWE mean by this?
>>
it was best before Angle arrived
>>
>>2245081
Yes
>>
>>2245081
Pre-Hogan TNA was pretty damn great, hands down. I was enjoying it more than WWE at the time.
>>
TNA has some great stuff. Whether it's the sheer in-ring capabilities of the early stuff, to Nash's rivalry with the X Division (literally Nash vs Vanilla Midgets; by far the best thing Nash has ever done).

Sucks that when Hogan came back for a legit run in 2009, everything went to hell.
>>
>>2245081
06-07 TNA was pretty good yeah
>>
>>2247548
Yeah, I got tired of the Angle dick sucking too
>>2247590
It all went to hell because of Hogan. Vince probably sent him there to kill the momentum they were building up
>>
>>2245081
it was a good alternative
>>
It's funny because despite Hogan killing TNA he got one of the loudest (might be the loudest) pop in their history

Goes to show why the fucker stuck around so long, nobody ever worked a live crowd like him
>>
>>2248677
meltzer talked about this when he was talking about the death of wcw. He kept trying to tell Bischoff that hogan wasnt the answer anymore and he needed to change it up. Then he went to a live show where any mention of Hogan's name got booed, then his music hit and he got a huge reaction. He then realized why bischoff was so enamored with him, the millions every week who saw hogan got tired of him but if you saw him in person for the first time you would go nuts

TNA honestly had such an amazing roster at one point, it just had bad booking decisions most of the time.

Hogan & Co. really fucked them up so much that they're still feeling the after effects in 2017. They'll never recover or be able to sign any good indie wrestler again, which is sad because I feel like they have a good roster base to build on.

>>2248677
This was embarrassing to watch. It got worse with Flair vs Hogan afterwards.
>>
>>2249670
>Flair vs Hogan afterwards

never happened in tna
>>
>>2245104
This
>>
What ever happened to that one big masked dude they had in the early years? He used to feud with Raven a lot.
>>
>>2250405
X? Or Suicide?
>>
No it was pretty shit for the same reason WWE is shit now despite having stars from this roster plus half of ROH's legendary roster at the time with some PWG and japan stars thrown in there, it's the bad booking. TNA was HORRIBLY booked. Last year is easily the best booked TNA has EVER been, Lashley's run is easily the best booked title run with Roode's at a distant 2nd and Austin's a bit behind Roos. Matt Hardy's whole story line got people talking and drew in some more viewers plus led to the tag team division not being worthless anymore. You take a talent like AJ Styles who's whole gimmick is just being the GOAT and then make him Flair's stooge..... Or you take Samoa Joe coming fresh off his ROH title run and being booked like a fucking beast then losing to Kurt because "but he was wwe" or the shitters that killed WCW coming in and draining Dixie for the money mark she is because the Eric tree has been dry since he went out of business. MEM was fucking trash.

TNA's management was a cavalcade of shit decisions one after the other despite having a WAY better talented roster than the fucking CAWs WWE were bringing in at the time and having Triple H be a total shitter at the top of the card. It shows now that all the TNA guys on wwe television, despite most being past their primes, are the best parts or one of the best parts of the shows they're on, and that's with WWE's terrible booking.

Think about that, Styles is so GOAT he can literally survive the memesworth/ambrose storyline and come out the other side just as over and just as GOAT as before, something cesaro or ziggler wouldn't be able to do despite their talent, but styles failed to recover from TNA's shit until he went to ROH and then japan to cement how fucking great he is.

TNA fucking sucked and everyone knew TNA fucking sucked, WWE also sucked.

25+, you were ten at best when TNA was in this period to consider the trash they were putting on good.
>>
>>2245081
It had many great moments and it pissed me off when people were celebrating its supposed demise.

Who is that John Morrison looking nigga in the top left?

Pretty sure abyss is still there.

The Pope D'Angelo Dinero (or something along the lines) aka Eliyah Burke from WWECW
