Funny, I never noticed any wobble on my Rhino Arm, when when combined with fuckheavy Soviet NVGs - so I have little reason to expect modern Western NVGs would wobble either.

The wobble doesn't come from the mount arm anyways mate - but the mount plate, specifically if it's the standard issue ratchet-and-strap mount plate, instead of three hole WARCOM pattern plate.

Not only that, you're also wrong. The Norotos Rhino Arm is still standard issue.

I run a helmet because my kit is a warfighting kit first, and an airshit kit second. If I wanted a pure airshit kit, I would just run a belt kit with a few +200rnd midcaps. But this one is meant to function with a real gun in international live firing exercises. It might be a featherweight warfighting kit, but it contains all the essentials for it regardless.

Could be, but i think that's a bit of a broad statement. I had a pretty shitty upbringing, but i don't think that has anything to do with how i feel about airsoft as a whole.

For me at least, up until recently, i worked in an airsoft shop / cqb arena for a few years, and it truly made me hate airsoft. Between little kids getting handed guns from their parents who haven't taught them any gun handling, and dont listen to any rules, parents coming into the store screaming why the gun they just bough for little "jonnycqb0p3rat0r101's" gun is broken after he does magdumps out of his KA m4 on an 11.1 i told them not to do it, and that same kid asking why his lipo is puffed and wont charge.

Then you have the "milsim" players who come to the field, and they outnumber the younger kids, but they refuse to split up, and they throw a bitch fit because "muh teem is bruthur hood! we kant shewt each otha! we heer 2 train! 4 high lvl milsim!1!11!1!!!1!"

the long and short is, airsofters in general are extremely cancerous people. I will say. Ive met some of the best people and friends i know / have in the airsoft scene, but Ive also met some of the scummiest.

My earliest /asg/ memory is that one guy sharing pictures of his guns and his GF's scar on purple bedsheets. Back then things were civil, we didn't have any memes or notable avatarfags.
I think part of the reason is how much recycling there are in those threads.

Same gear photos for the 100th time, same mug photos, even same fucking reaction images.
Surprisingly this one is pretty fresh, and we've yet to had some autistic meltdowns, but for quite some time if the thread got a more than a handful replies in a short amount of time, it was obvious someone amped shitposting up to 11 with M4 ergonomics or something like that.

This is especially true here in Russia, where airsoft first appeared as a form of reenactment. There was a lot of weird shit like, say, the self-enforced camouflage system: when your team wants to use a certain camo pattern, you have to ask permission from the team that started using it first in the region. It still exists, but less and less people care about that, since now there are much more people and sites who are willing to ignore that sort of thing. Still, reenactors are generally so elitist I wanna vomit. Not all of them, sure, but still.

Usually, these are guys that still want to go to milsims, but are not really fine with putting out a shitload of money on full infantry/SF kit, and are pretty good. There is no benefit to using a ballistic helmet in airshit as long as you have a stable mounting platform. Carbon helmets only offer weight savings, and that's not worth the money to everyone. Also consider cost of these things in other countries.

There is no problem (usually) of the Rhino mount to plate, but the problem is the wobble in the Rhino arm itself. Any FTO mount WILL have wobble that will progressively get worse as the detent wears in. Friend of mine sold his INVG for an AKA2 for that exact reason. Rhino isn't complete shit, but only because it's somewhat usable.

i think it has to do with the high number of airsoft fields that exist in southern california. THe high volume of fields combined with the popularity of video games, means many individuals jump into airsoft with little to no understanding of basic practices, like cutting corners, trigger discipline, KEEPING YOUR GODAMN EYE PRO ON, basic maintenance, removing your mag and clearing your gun before exiting the field etc. Dont get me wrong, i was stupid too, but the lack of more experienced players to guide and tutor the younger gen means they develop bad habits, and once they get the whole group going, any attempts to correct them will be seen as a personal attack, rather than trying to help

I had one of these, a very unique gun. I liked weird guns and the AMD-65 scratched that itch for me for a bit. I personally liked it but I'm fairly flexible when it comes to odd ways to hold guns, the front grip doesn't feel great as a traditional vertical grip, I cupped my hands around the front of it instead. The stock also serves only as a third point of contact and not as a traditional stock does, so it's a little strange feeling at first but you get used to it. This type of stock is great for big bulky masks if you wear them, you have the additional point of contact without having to lay your cheek on the stock to see down the sights. I think alternative AK's are neat, it's kind of neat to break the mold with something a little different, and in particular I think the Bulgarians had an interesting AK design. But then I just love AK's.
