Last thread has hit the bump limit. This is the actual /joshi/ thread, all Hanaposters please report to the containment thread. Links:
http://www.stardom-world.com - World Wonder Ring Stardom's own streaming network. Go here and hand over your yen monthly to see Kairi Hojo, Io Shirai, Mayu Iwatani, and terrible gaijins
http://pro-w-wave.com/wave_network - Pro Wrestling WAVE's streaming service. Uses the same setup as Stardom's, so if you've gave that one a go this one'll be easy to navigate despite being in moon. Feed ZABUN your money to see Misaki Ohata, Sumire Natsu, Yumi Ohka, and that one bald broad Sawako Shimono
https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/0B5rK95X3mRiiX1lTUkFzaGRhaUU - this is the daddy. The RealHero Archive, packed full of enough puro and joshi to keep you going until you kill yourself before you're 30. The Joshi folder contains pretty much everything that's aired in 2016 as well as a lot of classic stuff, with more uploaded as it airs. Only things that don't get uploaded are promotions with their own networks, so no Stardom or WAVE for you. Have at it
I'm glad that we as a general have accepted that Mio is far superior to Io. Hopefully by the next thread we'll have come to consensus on Shirai Sisters-era Io being better than current Io
Last /joshi/ hit bump limit, it'll be pushed off in no time. Don't see the issue. The other thread is a waifufag containment thread like the becky lynch general and has nothing to do with /asp/ rookie of the year /joshi/
Dont tell me tell the janny when he deletes yours and the containment thread
His stupid page 8 rule is the reason the /wwe/ general died and all of its autism was released on the board thus killing asp
In this case its good tho because you pathetic waifuists should fuck off back to wew immediately
its 4:30 am and im looking at pictures of marvelous twitter tags looking for pictures of DASH ass to prove people wrong about dash ass being huge
What was the overall best joshi show top to bottom last year? Which half of the year was better? I thought Ribbonmania was decent but not amazing, show I enjoyed the most out of the latter half of 2016 was probably Yokohama Dreams Park
Shibata's infidelity just goes to show once again why joshi is the superior wrestling artform. When THEY get married they all retire so I never have to give a fuck when they cheat on their partner
Minoru's daughter, HZK.
I assume you mean wrestlers who an MMA-inspired style? AKINO, Satomura, Konami and Syuri.
comments by Rossy after the show via google translate:
>Today we have 915 presenters. This year we will hold Korakuen every month, March twice so we have 13 times a year. Put two big matches at Nagoya International Conference Hall. Also, this year is probably the seventh year now, but I think that the number of games will be the most. I saw today's tournament and it was Shaina Bayesler, Kay Lee Lei, Nixon, Viper, and I felt that a good foreign player came to Japan and excited the Stadium. Stardom vs a foreigner I would like to continue to do this year as usual. In addition, I have inquiries from various countries, I think that it is better to be able to announce this year, whether it is the United States or within Asia. For the time being, I think I was able to have a good start in the seventh year. In addition, it is necessary to increase people more and more. I think I will make rings with even more thickness. I think that the number of annual games will probably be around 60 to 65 this year. We need to make the stardom more permeate even more. It is already seven years. It's already ranked, I wonder if I can not change it without going up. To not change is a negative thing. I would like to aim more and more
gaijinmania will never end
>japanese mma has always been a work
Lol yeah, i'm sure when Sakuraba broke Renzo Gracies arm it was all a work.
Before we even get into the argument, japanese mma has always been a blend of both worked matches and shoot matches. Even a big recent promotion like RIZIN has both kinds of matches on the same card.
I don't think RIZIN had any worked maches in the sense that the outcome has been agreed on beforehand, it's more like they book absolute mis-matches that clearly favour whoever the promotion wants to win.
Otherwise someone like Miyu Yamamoto wouldn't have two losses.
What are some of the best stables in joshi?
Pic related, all great even though Kato is the weakest member
when Kenny was in DDT he was dating Shida, witnessed by several who posted on 2ch. They were seen together after each other's shows. It hard to know now if they're still dating since he's moved to NJPW he's no longer seen around the indys.
Because there are a ton of dudes who are totally convinced Kenny is shoot gay because he worked them with "The Golden Lovers."
And it's more like the gaijin pursue the shit out of the Jap girls, not the other way around. Shida was the target of a bunch of gaijin grapplers, Shane Haste was practically stalking her.
>Shida's face is weird as hell
What's wrong with her face? It's symmetrical and good skin...her eyes are slanted cool too.
Yeah, except she had to tell an Australian woman wrestler to ask him to back off. If you went to an OZ Academy show 3 years ago he was there always watching her matches and trying to work it. It was more than the Twitter shit he does.
>How white do you have to be to think Shida has an ass?
Must be a trick of the light
Well I suppose you just have shit standards. Maybe some bolt-ons, botox and facelifting would do it for you?
I think I've figured it out
It's that her entire head has the appearance of being slanted like a shark's fin or something
I think it's a combination of the way she wears her hair and her not great nose
What sets Shida apart from most joshi is that she has actual hips. Even if her ass isn't all that impressive in thickness, it is wide due to the size of her hips.
Io, for example, has a fridge-shaped body with virtually no hips at all.
I saw some fool say Io's ass is more impressive when her body is shaped like a rectangle.
Its not really an issue since we can just come back once the hana thread goes over the bump limit which will trigger them again and cause them to fuck off back to /wew/
I think JWP's rookies have potential to become better wrestlers than Stardom's rookies given they are trained by Bolshoi and Leon, but they're definitely weaker. None of them strike me as future Openweight Champions. Bolshoi needs to scout some better looking girls if they want to survive in the current joshi climate.
Speaking of, I haven't seen anyone mention Stardom's newest trainee Shibusawa Shiki.
She's tall, but looks fragile. I don't expect her to last long.
What exactly killed ARSION? I know it's usually a multitude of problems when a promotion dies, but from what I've read it sounds like ARSION got off to a pretty great start then pretty quickly started dying.
>rookie dying after a 2 month career(GAMI gave up, also)
>A bunch of failed booking strategies, some being repeated in Stardom
>Aja Kong beef
>Hotta and friends running the joint
And some other shit. then came A to Z
The downfall started when one of the founders, Aja Kong, sued the company pres. Rossy Ogawa for falsely advertising events. Then Lioness Asuka came in as booker and kept pushing herself over new talent - Ayako Hamada got pissy about this and left. The company collapsed shortly after
At one point they had a stable that was supposed to be a pop group with Ai Fujita, AKINO, Ayako Hamada and Candy Okutsu called Cazai. It failed horribly and they split them up and started pushing Hamada hard afterwards.
Who's the Stardom ones? As far as teams Kairi/Showzuki was actually working well till Showzuki bailed out, Bito/Yuzupon was over till Bito bailed. They've had several shitty, failed groups/factions and ideas and still have ones running right now, but they've had over ones as well
Also their Stardom album from last year is trash
I just wish that Yoshida Style had caught on. Bunch of fucking bullshit we're never gonna get exciting submission-oriented joshi matches anymore. Did Yoshida even have any other matches of note after ARSION fell?
I want to know why people consider her one of the best in the world. Is it purely on athleticism / movez? Her 2016 definitely didn't show any BITW stuff outside of that. And even then, she's kind of sloppy as far as pure athleticism goes, although I think it works for her
I guess she's capable of having a fantastic match but if you look at last year it seems like it's only if she's in there with someone who's genuinely top level talent so that's hardly remarkable
>I want to know why people consider her one of the best in the world. Is it purely on athleticism / movez?
Yes that's why people pretend the shitty gaijin like KLR and Toni Storm they bring in are good
She was doing amazingly in performance on her own and has improved as far as smoothing things out unlike Kairi who got even sloppier than before plus shit opponents, but then you sit back and notice the trend of Io's matches being all the same, and how lame it's all gotten with her and Stardom in general. She was the only saving grace to Stardom's shit 6 months ago, then everyone appropriately got bored of her cuz really, where's this long ass reign even going?
>Bunch of fucking bullshit we're never gonna get exciting submission-oriented joshi matches anymore.
There's a couple out there.
Mika Iida has a submission-oriented style that seems to be euro-inspired even though she has never left Japan. It's pretty amazing. She probably collects World of Sport tapes. There's also Kyuuri who does MMA grappling while dressed up like Peter Pan.
They're two of absolute my favorites to watch.
They had a good match that made tape in Ice Ribbon last year.
If you're looking for ground-based matches, Kyuuri had several of those last year. She's a lethal grappler, a serious submission specialist.
I'm really only a fan of Yoshida Style submission work. Which is weird since when I first got into MMA I loved the grappling more than anything else. But I find shoot style mostly a bore; which is why I was blown away that Yoshida and her trainees managed to make puro submission grappling so exciting.
I just wonder why people are so ready to jump on that "best in the world" train, even people who generally know what they're talking about usually. I'm not trying to cry "ess jay dubya" or whatever the fuck, but I sometimes wonder if people are just giving the Stardom girls way more leeway than they would any other wrestlers and not critiquing them as objectively as they otherwise would. Whether that's due to waifuism or whatever I don't know
Io, in the heyday of joshi, would have been considered a very good wrestler. There were plenty of wrestlers on par with her and plenty still AHEAD of her. The quality of joshi dropped off tremendously years ago so someone like Io stands out all the more. It also helps that she's in the most popular female wrestling promotion which panders heavily to a Western audience; most of whom only either know about Stardom as far as joshi goes or only care to know about Stardom and not much else.
As the anon you replied to correctly pointed out; Io, and Stardom in general, has been treading water for quite a while now and everything feels stale. Stardom was pretty great in 2015 when there was a quasi invasion angle with the Scorpion Queen coming in and winning their top belt and kicking everyone's ass.
It's simply because it's genuinely the best womens wrestling they've seen in recent memory even though it's not even the best in the scene, a scene they ignore because theyre complete with just Stardom. That's for most of it. The other side are people who feel more invested into it as its on TV every month which is how they watch it compared to OZ being the only other fed with consistent TV. And again, Stardom caters hard to western fans and have ever since the incident.
Has nothing to do with ess jay dubuyas, either lower standards or just convenience. People are attracted to spotz and movez, that's how sloppy and relatively slow western workers like Nixon, KLR and Toni Storm have people salivating over them for some reason.
They were treading it back in May. Which at the time, Santana was gone for a while, Act had left and Kagetsu/Kimura made challenges to the top 3 so Oedo Tai could possibly have had a fresh start, Sendai/Stardom show in Nagoya was great, Bito coming back, you could've seen a lot from there, many different ways to go at things. All that went out the window by July, where they did ANOTHER Stardom vs gaijin show nobody asked for. Oedo Tai gets 3 title matches in little over 2 weeks, loses the first 2 clean, then the 3rd one that they won was overbooked to shit, then they throw 7 gaijin in the GP made even worse not having any possible freelancers there to mix it up like Yoneyama and Kaori did last year, then that GP Final show happened, which is when it completely jumped the shark. They rush the hell out of Io's heel turn, give Hojo/Bito a tag tournament and belts they didn't need, break up Momo and Kyona, and none of it means anything already
So with WWE's women's tournament a thing this summer, who realistically from the /joshi/ world can we expect to show up in it, and who do we think will be signed following it?
I know Hiroyo and >Shida have had tryouts before so I expect they've a good chance of showing up
Also, subscriptions to STARDOM World are 1:7 Japan to Foreign subscriptions. That's why they tooled it to cater to English speaking fans, since practically nobody in the country orders the service.
hello, I saw this picture of this Hojo woman on a boat and am now in love with her, please tell me everything about her
Probably going to be met with >meme arrows but meiko is my #1. Big fan of Tsukka and think she's had more great matches than Io has the past year. I'm super hot on Tsukushi and she's going to be up there sooner rather than later, although to be fair that's rating on potential. She's still great right now, though
Yoshiko is very exciting to watch and is another one that'll be in that upper echelon soon enough
After that we're getting into my personal favourites like Hiroyo that probably wouldn't rate above Io but I'd much rather watch them - although I'd say Hiroyo's match with Hojo was a better match than Io's last year
I don't think Io is bad or even average, she's definitely good. I just don't buy that she's the best in the world
I would also much rather watch her as one half of the Shirai sisters than watch her as a singles wrestler
Well she sells shirts et al. for Minoru Suzuki's Harajuku boutique...so it should figure.
>people talking about the Shirai sisters
>people talking about the Jumonji sisters
The only sisters I want to see in this thread from now on are the Seven Star ones
That in WAVE they grab a lot of boob. See GAMI sitting there watching like a hawk?
Yea we'll see about that! Is she a Ramen Rains fan? Yes or Double Yes?? that will prove if she is the Ultimate GF or not.
the fact none of you "guys" talk about Viper the bbw blonde Scottish goddess makes me question y'all's sexuality
go away cuckold, go jack off to japanese girls who'd never be into you
at best you'd have to settle with some desperate ugly ass Vietnamese girl, just to satisfy your yellow fever you filthy degenerate.
I remember watching a video on YouTube where they were interviewing Asuka and Chigusa and they kept talking about how Chigusa used to sneak out of the AJW dojo at night to meet up with men. Like...wot.
I get the feeling they were lying to hide the fact she was a super dyke. Chigusa was a tomboy cutie in the 80s though. Then she unleashed her final form in the 90s and turned into a monster.
>All dem old joshi bitches are starting to retire.
Yeah, I don't know if I'll be able to live through Yukihi Maya's retirement. The day Ozaki retires will also be a sad day.
I struggle to think of who in joshi right now will be wrestling for 20-30 years like the older veterans have.
