Roman will never be liked. No matter how good he gets at anything. People will always over analyze and scrutinize the smallest errors, he'll never get praised for doing anything good, and despite being far better than a lot of wrestlers in the company, he'll always be seen as the worst. It's not like Finn got drunk and fucked off for the rest of the year, he was debuted, immediately put into the main event as Raw's top babyface, given the title and then got injured on a bad spot gone wrong, and was forced to vacate. He was promised that he would get a shot at the title when he got back.

When he debuted on Raw in the Summer, Finn was over, people liked him, he was getting a huge push, he was very clearly going to be Raw's top babyface going forward. What has changed in the last six months that would change that? Finn's not gonna be any less over as a babyface, neither Roman or Seth have gotten any MORE over as babyfaces, Roman's still getting boos and apathy and Seth's turn has been lukewarm at best. Nobody has stepped into the "top babyface" void on Raw that's been there since the brand split, so why would they not immediately try Finn again the second he gets back?
