Well, you noted MR Singles Matches. So if you saw that, you saw Payback, so you must've seen KO vs Zayn? That was better.
There was a tippy-top-tier TV Match between AJ and Zayn on Raw, too.
That's just what stands out in my mind. If you cycle back through the PPVs I'm sure you'd find more. Roman vs AJ at Payback isn't a particularly high bar.

OP here. And yes imo. Loved the psychology in the beginning to establish the match. Reigns later did a good job of selling AJ's offense. There were at least 3 really sweet spots that I liked. I'm not even mad Reigns won with 1 spear. AJ only popped Reigns with 2 forearms that were in pinning situations. The other 2 were the table spot and the barricade spot. So I'm not bothered by that. AJ tends to spam it anyhow with all the variations of it.

Zayn/KO was good but they've had better matches together. And Zayn/Shinsuke was also good but not the best Nakamura match (he had a better one with Styles at WK10). So that goes into my consideration. AJ/Reigns was fresh and delivered on my exceptions.
