>WWE announced yesterday in an SEC filing that Vince McMahon recently sold 2,191,894 shares of WWE stock. The worth of those shares is approximately $38-39 million. The shares represented about 6% of the company’s outstanding shares and leaves Vince with 37,080,747 shares of WWE, or 48.8% of all WWE shares. You can find the SEC filing below. It was also noted that Vince sold the shares for, “estate planning purposes for the benefit of Mr. McMahon and certain members of Mr. McMahon’s family.”

Looks like he's selling his shares for purposes of his will... the new era is really here

Here's a graph of the state of the ownership of the company after the sale.

One can speculate that when he dies it can now be an even spilt for Shane/Steph

When BMJ retires, he'd probably retire for good.

Fuck what you think, Vince is based.

There's nothing anyone could've else could've done to make wrestling better post-Attitude era.
Your WCW midget division was shit. Look at Impact; that's pretty much was WCW would've sunk into anyway.
It was at it's peak between 2011-2013, and the only reason it's not as good right now is because lack of talent.

Oh you kids....

This is a publicly traded company, not the share stake in Uncle Joe's Family Hardware store. If you sell a load of stock, one of the easiest ways to make a big bunch of cash is to buy them back again later, at a cheaper price.

If you are seen as the visionary of that company, and you sell the stock, then the automated trading robots that operate inside every bank are gonna scan that headline, and dump their stock.

If you add to that picture some whispered hint that you are doing this "to fund your estate and will settlements upon death", then you are basically saying you're gonna snuff it soon.

And stocks drop even further.

And then you buy back even more, even more cheaply.

Ironically, even me typing this could potentially affect share prices, if trading bots crawled 4chan for trading news...

tl;dr: wait for WWE stocks to bottom out, then buy on the uptick. VKM is only 70, and he has billionaire money for medical. He'll be around longer than the Queen of England.
>>
>>1299576
Isn't that all completely fucking wrong?

I think you're describing insider trading, which is illegal senpai.
>>
>>1299582
No that's all completely fucking right. It's called business strategy.

If it was illegal insider trading for me to know in the morning that I intended to sell my own position in the afternoon, then we are entering the realms of Thought Crime.
>>
>>1299590
No, not that part.

Selling shares after misleading the shareholders to manipulate the markets in order to then later buy back the stock and revalue them for a profit.

I'm pretty sure that's not legal, homeboy.
>>
>>1299599
Yes, its legal. Jeez, are you living in communist China? This is the free market.
>>
>>1299503
Stone Cold sold more merch in one year than Cena in all his career.

BMJ doesnt deserves a penny for killing WWE.
>>
>>1299518
most of the wwwf's(at the time) video library. it included all the taped shows that were supposed be shown on tv in incoming months. if that burned the company would lose the tv deal and probably fold.
>>
>>1299668

>Stone Cold sold more merch in one year than Cena in all his career.

Well that's just completely false. Please have sex.
>>
>you now realize that these shares if given to Shane would give him more control then HHH and Steph

Shane is back and there's nothing you can do about it, LEGACY
>>
>>1299485
i can see this, yeah
i can also imagine that he has been pre-recording promos for the better part of twenty years in the event of his death so he can shit on people from beyond the grave. that seems like exactly his gimmick and i'd cry tears of joy each time we were graced with one.
>>
>>1299732
Its more real than Cena deserving anything from WWE instead of Austin.
>>
>>1299467
What tapes?
>>
>>1299924
The reason Dunn is forever working for Vince is because Dunn's dad saved a bunched of taped shows from a fire or something from a car trunk or somethink and Vince or Vince Sr was all 'OH THANK YOU, NOW LET US HAVE A BLOOD PACT STRONGER THAN THE ROCK'S GRANDPA AND ROMAN'S GRANDPA'
And so Dunn was made into the Eternal Van Man.
>>
>>1299732
Austin's peak salary (which is dependent on how much merch you sell) was 12 mil throughout 1998-99-2000

Cena's peak is 5 million dollars.

Add inflation, 1 million dollar in 1998 is significantly more than 1 mil today, and Cena in 12+ years still doesn't get close to Austin.

Only The Rock almost made as much money to WWE as Austin. Hogan's numbers are also negligible compared to them.

>Believeing Cornette
>>
>bucky beaver has more shares than Paul Levesque
Absolutely disgusting
>>
>>1299599
What's misleading?
Is he selling the stocks?
Yes.
Does this pertain to finacial planning for his eventual death?
Yes.

Everything after that is speculators speculating.
