If you are seen as the visionary of that company, and you sell the stock, then the automated trading robots that operate inside every bank are gonna scan that headline, and dump their stock.

If you add to that picture some whispered hint that you are doing this "to fund your estate and will settlements upon death", then you are basically saying you're gonna snuff it soon.

And stocks drop even further.
