Some LEO offices who's budget doesn't extend to buying simunition. Most others use that, since it's as close to a bullet as you could get without actually being one.

Also, why does American airsoft seem so shit? Specifically california, those faggots on YouTube annoy the fuck out of me.

It's the best woodland camo. DPM is a close second.

Desert Flecktarn and Desert DPM are probably the better desert camos.

Now that I mention it, DPM and Flecktarn are brilliant.

To be honest I prefer solid colours. The range you're at in airsoft normally means camo doesn't matter.

I bought a box of 10 for £50 and none of them feed properly. Every 4 or 5 rounds feeds.

It was a problem with the size, they were slightly smaller than the magwell so wobbled a bit.

Try wrapping electrical tape or something just below where the receiver locks the mag on the magazine itself, it should fix it.

You couldn't do any worse except using UCP. Your first kit should be a chest rig and a backpack if necessary.

It's horrendous. It's ugly, it hurts to look at.

You don't like fun? Making kits is my favourite part of airsoft. I havn't even been to a field in like 2 months.

>>

It's a Hong Kong outlet.
They're the only ones who have what I'm looking at in stock.

I could buy from an American outlet but I think the shipping would even out, also, it would come with a hideous red muzzlebrake.

I'll probably buy mags from Redwolf.uk later for better shipping and availability.

no, regular dboys hicaps. They claim to be 600 round and need winding all of twice to empty.

CYMA M14 mags also do ~300 on a full wind. Hicaps have their own set of issues, but needing to wind a lot isn't really a major one.

FSB only falls under special forces because Spetsnaz is such a nebulous term.

OMON technically falls under the same umbrella as well. FSB and OMON are actually closer to SWAT/FBI but they do see deployment, especially during occupations.

Also I'm pretty sure it just breaks down into "MUH SPECIAL FORCES OPERATOR" shit in general. No one seems to want to play the grunt.

Im asking for legitimate help here:
My brother left for deployment in the pacific and he gave me his Airsoft M4
I dont know what type or what the fuck it is, all i know is that its a Gas Blowback type.

If you can see the WE G39 behind it, that shit's fucking dead because i did not maintain it and everything is fucking broken and shit.

Now, seeing as there's no airsoft facilities in 100 miles from here im most likely never going to use it, but i dont want it to rot away like the gun before that, especially since its my brother's gun.

What do i need to do to this thing to keep it in working condition? I will most likely not be using it, as previously stated.
>>
>>1090438
Buy a can of maintenance gas and keep the magazines gassed up
>>
>>1090438
What happens when you load the magazine and pull the trigger?
>>
>>1090438
Internally on the guns, leave them be. With the mags, press the release valve (the big button on the top back of the mag), then when any gas inside has emptied, put some pure silicone oil into the inside, you shouldn't need a lot, jsut a few drops. Then top the mag up with gas. preferably a gas with some silicone in it. Like WE green gas. then leave it all alone. if he's away longer than 3 months, I reccommend emptying the mag and repeating.
>>
>>1090452
On the G39? It will fire but refuse to cycle.
>>
>>1090438
Gently spray some silicone spray on the nozzle on the bolt, and gently spray some on the rubber gaskets on the magazines.

If you live in a particularly humid state, maybe give it a light spray of ballistol or other CLP and a basic wipe-down, but it shouldn't matter if you're not going to use it.

>I value recoil little enough that GBBs are sufficient for muh realism

The list goes on. They are real fuckin' neat-o and I would enjoy having one but I don't care enough to go out of my way to get one. If a decent deal comes by I guess I could get one, but I'd rather spend this month's $1500 airsoft budget on a bunch of different shit that I enjoy more than one thing I enjoy. Same reasons go for why I don't have any HPA setup in general, though I'm sure I'll get one eventually.

As an MG user I can say it is possible but its not really comfortable. And if you detach the bipod the gun suddenly weights only half of what it used to.

>>
>>1092124
Good, I was under the impression they were complicated.

Are TM pistols good? I get told their snipers are top quality but I'm wondering if it transfers to their pistol line.
>>
>>1092133
TM pistols are one of the best but they lack of external metal parts. They perform very well tho if you want something more "realistic" you might want something else.
>>
>>1092113
Clean them after every game like you would with a real gun after a range day, keep the magazines gassed up to prevent the gaskets from shrinking, and only use pure silicone oil because petroleum based ones dry out silicone and rubber based polymers. Things WILL break, and I recommend getting a feel for disassembling the gun for when things do fail so you don't have to pay a tech.

>>1092133
TMs are (more or less) seen as the standard for modern GBBs and they're generally what Taiwanese and Chinese companies copy. But since they are Japanese made, they will have plastic slides instead of metal ones. Either run more expensive HFC-134a (Duster gas), get a metal slide and use green gas, or reinforce the internals all together and use propane and spend less in the long run.
>>
>>1092160
This is important, don't anything other than duster, I broke a part of my desert eagle slide because of that.
>>
>>1092163
Some Japanese guns can take stronger gasses, but it speeds up the wear process. TM Five-seveNs are especially notorious for tearing themselves apart on anything other than 134a.
>>
>>1092100
It won't change anything. Some people that use HPA DMRs might get an HPA BASR. Its still to expensive for every wannabe Chris Kyle.
HPA on BASR isn't have too much of an impact. The hopup and shit matters more than pistons
>>
>>1092100
Wannabe snipers buy cheap Well rifles. Especially the L96. I don't think they could rationalize the investment for HPA cylinder since their chink rifles already shoot 2-3J at stock.

>>1092174
HPA can be made more silent which is very important for snipers. Muzzle energy variances are also minimal with HPA, which results in better vertical accuracy. I'm not sure about Bolt, but with most other HPA solutions, you can adjust the air volume just right for your barrel. The HPA bolt is also lot easier to pull which is a really big deal when you're crouching in a bush and trying remain concealed.
>>
>>1091457
I like your paint jobs
>>
>>1092100
HPA gas snipers have been a thing for years now.
The wannabes will drop the dosh on the bolt system and put nothing into actual accuracy upgrades, can't comprehend why that can't hit people, and promptly sell the thing a loss and repeat the cycle.

While it seemed like that from what I understand the Soviets actually completed 3/4 of their objectives so they may have won a tactical victory. We did have a pushing problem this year, it would have been nice to have some more organization to the whole thing to actually get people moving. Right off the bat in the initial engagement people were just sitting put instead of pushing up as much as they could. I remember I was in the forest during the final battle and we were waiting for our relief from the guys on the Armageddon flank but they never got in far enough and then broke. I've heard that the Soviets had pushed 'em back to their spawn but I was pretty useless so I wouldn't know.

Multicam pants and the helmet looks close to atacs au. You can even get that fleece online.

The KJW M1911 would be the only model I could get my hands on. Do you think that it would be a idea?
>>
>>1096080
I dont know about that, we were told we had our objectives completed. I don't think there was good leadership from the officials about what the fuck was going on. In the final battle soviet forces did get into Armageddon, about two of them, they killed handfuls of us. But too little too late.

I kept on asking for orders, but all I got was to hold position to protect temple and Bedlam. After that point we stopped receiving orders, seemed like the event staff was more concerned about capturing drone footage.

I give the whole thing about a 7/10, 5 of that was the house to house fight mid-day before the official break. Still well worth the time and money.

Its a shame really, at Pandora's Box the previous years, leadership was on point.

I cant own a real SVD or PKM with my job and I can't shoot people with my AK without going to jail. Go jack off to your milsurp rifle kiddo.
>>
>>1096723
A KJW would be a good starter pistol, yeah. With the Marui, you'd have to get a new slide with it and that'd be about $100+ extra.
>>
>>1096471
It works fine now. Except for the fucking semi locking that plagues the design. It stops happening after shooting it FA for some time thought wich is weird.
>>
>>1096973
Is the plastic slide that much of a problem? How quickly do they wear down?

>>
>>1097171
>>1097129
Since when did they use night camo?
>>
>>1097176
About a year or so back when they started becoming camo hipsters and ran obscure camos.
>>
>>1097176
>>1097186
That doesn't mean that everyone who uses rare camos is a retard.
They were the tryhardest tryhards and now they are shitty hipsters, but oh well attention whores in essence
>>
>>1097201

They're why all the kiddies are running DNG tops and jeans and AUSCAM now
>>
>>1097210
God forbid we have a bit of camo diversity in airsoft.
>>
>>1097249

Everyone doing it doesn't mean it's diverse. Stuff like M/90, Brookwood or Pencott adds diversity
>>
>>1097210
What if I liked DNG and AUSCAM (never together, of course) before GMR decided to have their hipstercam revelations? Untold numbers of perfectly reasonable airsofters still use multiglam despite the numbers of insufferable faggots who wear it too.

Maybe in California, but it's still yet to catch on here in Orlando. It's still mainly MC, AOR 1/2, and the staple of Florida "Milsim" teams: MARPAT. A couple of my friends run Auscam, but they do actual Aussie kits and not camo bin mix n' match.

And that's to say nothing of expense. May as well add Kryptek and ATACS to the list for "diversity". Expensive special snowflake camos don't add diversity if no one can get them.
>>
>>1097262
Pretty sure there's pictures of GMR running M90 and Pencott.
Maybe I'm just imagining things.

Having authentic trademarks is a little thing that some people like to have, especially if they're doing reenactments or really want to get autistic with their impression. I personally like having them since it makes them more authentic. For example, my G&P M733 (Formerly an XM177E2) says M16A1 on it while my friend's Marui XM says AR-15. Little things like can be make or break for some people.

What XM177 did you get anyways? WE or Viper Tech?

WE, open-bolt, I'll be replacing the internals once they break (which I've heard they'll do).

Viper looks really nice and authentic, but I can't justify spending $700+ on a fake gun.

I know. As always depends on what you're looking for and from whom you're buying.

I have some brand new MAG M4 magazines that doesn't feed properly but my steel ones do flawlessly. I've tried the tape trick which helps push up the mag into the gun but so far I see no difference. Is there anything I can do or should I just sell these and go for a different brand?
