Kyrtacs are high-quality, but make sure to detorque your body pin screws to prevent them from cracking your receiver. Ares are much more likely to lemon and their M4s are plastic. Krytac is MUCH better if you can pay the price.

Krytacs are great, but their Achilles's Heel is that the rear receiver pin is a screw in type instead of the standard push pin. This more or less means that you'll crack the receiver if you over torque the screw.

I was looking at either the G&G SRXL or Krytac CRB. SRXL is around £100 cheaper and slightly longer. What makes the Krytac worth the extra money?

Combat machines are cheap beginner guns. The one you mentioned seems to have a plastic receiver as well. Lonex, Krytac and G&P guns are what you want. Lonex and Krytac have pretty much the best internals of all stock guns. G&P has better externals and the internals are good enough.

G&G make good M4's now and while the CM series has really improved recently, Krytac are just better quality weapons. Where I'm at an SRXL retails for £190, a Krytac CRB retails for £290 or an SRB for £320. The £100 extra is invested well with better quality and better parts.

Don't get me wrong - a CM will rarely fail you, but they're bog standard. Nothing special. Krytac make the best M4's if you ask me.

CRB is about 90% metal. The mix is similar to a real M4.

And yes, mags are almost exclusively universal with M4 Type AEG's.

Seriously man, you can NOT go wrong with a Krytac rifle. They're exceptionally well made, look the name of the rifle you'd like to buy on YouTube and watch reviews of them. Airsoftology did a good review of the CRB, it's an impressive rifle and I honestly think it sets the bar for M4's.

If/When I play Russian, I pack fresh food for every day. Typically I will ration as I feel, but this can and will include:
apples
Rye bread
2nd type of fruit (normally something with a skin, oranges and such)
pre-cooked meat, like garlic sausage
tea
something sugary (normally cheap chocolate)

I get on quite well with that. It gives me a good amount of carbs and protein for running about all weekend. Sometimes I'll add the odd can of food or something for a shitmix borsch with everyone else.

E&L AK74M. You don't even need to open the gearbox to install the mosfet for V3. They gave me an estimate of 1,5h / 20€ which is little overestimated, but I could have lived with that.
Another mosfet unit was installed to spare trigger contacts. Shouldn't even take half an hour if you know your shit. I was prepared to pay 25€ or maybe 30, but definitely not 50.

One Ranger Hoodie v6.5 (2010 edition), Stealth Hoodie (the jacket) v6 (2010 also), Ranger LT (2015), and Flux Hoodie (2015).

The first Ranger Hoodie is still in active use, it's my go-to fleece for winter use. And yes, they don't only see airshit use, but civilian yes. So I suppose they don't last two or three years, but a lot more, despite not only being confined to occasional use in the woods. Yes, I wear tactical clothes outside, bite me. I don't actually own a single pair of non-camo pants, not counting the shown before grey ones.
