I'd be interested to hear everyone who remembers the WCW era well take on Buff Bagwell.
I was watching old WCW VHS's I have laying around last night and BB appeared in match vs some low card jobber. He wrecked him, it was glorious.
To me he looked to be a real rising star in WCW. Very Sean Michaels-esque.
He looked the part, could fight, had charisma basically all the making of a guy who is not only over but could reach the top. He could have been the champ and worn the belt proudly.
Obviously, there are some fuzzy details about what happened before the Booker-T match but it seems like he may have gotten a raw deal.
Now we all saw how WWF treated the WCW stars so I take solice in the fact that he may have been doomed since the merger no matter what he wouldn't have made it. But did he get the rawest deal in wrestling history, at least in the 90s.

2.1 million second hour
1.6 million third hour
Not great but remember it was 9/11, football season, and Hurricane Irma coverage. Raw is still a huge draw, you just had casual fans doing BBQs and stuff for the holiday, plus a lot of people lost power due to the hurricane and couldn't watch. Plus (at least in my family) my dumbshit Dad wanted to watch football.
