II LOVE YOU HIRO!!!!
So are these things just a scam? I'm training for Mma and I'm looking for something that can help improve my cardio routine.
This thing got me hooked too, i d like an opinion too
>nice thread OP
Tell me about OP. Why does he wear the mask?
firstly.
they have not been proven to do anything yet, they are being sold based on a theory of what they are supposed to do
second
people who train at altitude don't leave altitude in between training sessions, they live there for a few weeks which is what causes their bodies to get acclimated. You might train with that thing on for an hour, and then spend the next 23 walking around saturated in normal oxygen levels.
third
unless you are a professional athlete there is no reason to be training at altitude anyway. As a hobbyist or amateur in what ever sport you do, you aren't going to be facing anybody with such elite skills that a few extra red blood cells will be the factor that makes or breaks you
I had my first judo session yesterday give me tips to pwn everyone ever and become the best.

As a purple belt, is it a better investment in the long term to drive a little farther and pay a little more to train under your professor's professor?
>>759211
should probably ask your coach. Also its gay and pretentious to call a martial art instructor professor unless they actually have a PHd. but you cant have a PHd in martial arts.
>>759212
what do you suppose you call them then, "coach"?
>>759235
by their name you autistic piece of crap
My trainer told everybody at the club that they should put their belt on their resumes, I'm a "Probationary Blackbelt" at WTF TKD (not a mcdojo) and was considering it, I hope to get my First Dan Blackbelt for real in mid next year, should I add either this one or my next belt onto my resume?
Out of curiousity;
for a particular job or in general? Because somehow I doubt putting your beltgrade in taekwondo would have any effect in most jobs, except for maybe bouncing and such.
On-topic;
I would wait for first dan to actually put black belt the resume. "Lying" about a black belt is a huge thing for those who actually care about belts. If it's just about impressing people, "red belt with three black stripes" sounds pretty impressing by itself to someone who don't have a clue about belts.
>>758979
Some people tell me that you should have a section for hobbies on your resume.
>>758980
You should only list hobbies if they are professionally relevant, i.e. you're applying for a job as a bouncer, or something requiring physical fitness.
In my personal opinion, I guess it would be fine to put it for unrelated positions too, but it might give the employer the idea that you are just trying to impress him with irrelevant stuff.
When I applied for a job I included that I had done martial arts during the past year because it was a physically demanding job.
Hi /k/, I'm wondering if you can recommend some good ASGs that would be adequate for future possesion of real weapon?

Hi /asp/.
Is it worth starting Kyo Karate? I did Shotokan for like 9 years, got a brown belt, stopped for a while and have been doing Muay Thai for about a year and BJJ for 6 months now. I plan on continuing doing Thai/Boxing for quite a while.
Question: Does Kyokushin bring anything to the table that Thai doesn't?
>>758670
As a sidenote, does Kyo really make you basically invincible to body punches? I've seen videos of kyo guys in bareknuckle fights where body blows do zilch to them. That'd be quite useful
Kyokushin fighters with 15+ years experience (around what it takes to get a brown belt) look invincible to body shots because they have been hit in the body the entire time. It's just a matter of conditioning which you could get from other combat arts but most don't train as hard.in other words Kyo guys start getting hit early and spar early. I have done MT as well but I prefer kyo because you know your body more in depth with kihons kata and kumite
Tl;dr yes it is worth
unfortunately they have literally 0 head punching defense, which is literally THE most common attack in striking
waste, anon. also mas oyama didn't even fight bulls, he fought an ox, which is akin to a dog in japan.

Living in the UK is terrible for drying gi's due to the constant rain and cold winds. Is it plausible to put your gi in the tumble dryer and put it on a low temperature for a short period of time?
burn it
>>758126
Why are you washing it? Use the smell to your advantage, no one wants to fight a smelly Sally so they would want the fight to end as soon as possible, take away the will to fight with your stank. You know I'm right.
>>758126
I always put my gi in the dryer, high heat so I don't have to dry it more than once.

>Why the fuck aren't you guys talking about the most badass sport in the fucking world?
Because it's so awesome, it literally speaks for itself.
We're all just waiting speechlessly for it to become a global phenomena so we can try it ourselves.
>>757953
Seriously, MMA ain't got shit on UWM. It takes more skill than MMA where you're literally just flailing your arms to knockout your opponent. in UWM you're actually making points much like a real fighting video game so it's going to be way more balanced. MMA is literally unfair.
