How do I get started?
I'm a pretty average guy but got some half-decent skills in different sports like skateboarding, football and MMA. Want to try something new.

FreeRunning and Tricking included?
They have some ties with gymnastics.
Cartwheels, handspring, general tumbling, you could use those as a basis for side flips, back flips, etcetera, helps you develop some basic aerial body awareness.

Let's have a thread for us dumbasses who want to ask stupid shit about martial arts without starting a shitty useless thread. How not completely unhealthy would you have to be to do two martial arts? I'm going to go start one, I'm not going to try to get fit or some shit that leads to me putting things off, I'm just wondering if there's a way to tell when I get to a point that I can do more than one without hurting myself or over training or whatever.

Depends on the martial arts.
You most likely won't need as much cardio for Aikido compared to Boxing.
Your fast twitch muscles might be great for Taekwondo, but BJJ relies more on muscular endurance.
Due to some shitty circumstances lately, I've decided I want to learn self defense. Im not interested in competing or any bullshit, I just want something effective and deadly. I've been wrestling since I was a freshman in Highschool, I'm a Senior now.

I'm watching bash at the beach 2000 right now and the first match has a chavo vs juventud guerrera and the first thing i noticed is the amount of people ringside. Aside from the 1 or 2 tv cameramen there's 6 or 7 photographers just snapping pics leaning on the ring.
On a positive note, the angles used by the tv cam guys seem to be better than what you get with modern WWE, it actually sells their punches and moves as being more realistic and looks like it connects compared to the phantom hits we get on RAW etc.
Going to be dumping caps from this PPV
