SKATEBOARDING IS 90% MIND, 10% BODY
YOU'RE NEVER TOO OLD TO SKATE NOW GO OUT AND SHRED

skatepark etiquette - go early or go burly
old thread:>>1067685

Been skating for 4 years and have been getting into flat ground skating lately(usually skate vert/tranny).
Learned nollie shuvs and bs half cabs yesterday, what are some tricks that'll help build my board control?
I can already do these
>Ollie
>180 both ways
>fakie shuv and fakie 3 shuv
>heel flips(rarely land them)
>every type of revert up to a 360
I want to build more on being able to make very deliberate motions with my board and body instead of randomly flicking my feet and hoping I land something.

>bs half cabs
it will come in time
get the "basics" down and build your control according to the way you want, there is no right or wrong.

Muay Thai General Thread
Technique & conditioning edition
How long did you train before you got a somewhat acceptable tech form? Did you train just one technique at the time until you got good or did you just sparred a lot?
Also, good conditioning routines for muay thai/boxing/kickboxing to improve your overall ability?
Fucking bump
Got my first interclub on 21st. Any of you Nak Muay anon's give any advice? What's it like? I usually spar with seniors as I am, and I've only done MT for 3-4 months, and I keep up the sparring for 45 mins- an hour, will I be fine or better than fine? Any stories on past interclub would be aprreciated too :P
other that boxing, which has more emphasis on footwork, slips and cutting angles kickboxing or muay thai. is there any training in those movements outside boxing tho, i'm not sure
Is there absolutely any chance he goes over?
I know how stubborn they've been with Roman, but surely SOME doubts have to be creeping in about the feasibility and wisdom of his continued push?
I mean, Haitch has pulled all the consummate Heel shit, directly insulted fans, only to get cheered later on in that segment, beat up people endeared to the audience.
Yet he still gets pops in place of Roman.
Is it a total lock that Roman wins, or do you think there's a smidgen of a long-shot that Haitch walks out winning. And if so, under what circumstance? Clean? Dirty? Where do they go from there?
wins clean with 1(one) pedigree
>>1100208
I really hope that happens and they make Roman not appear on RAW for some time, repackage him, give him a different theme and attire and bring him back a few months later to feud in the midcard over IC title, until he stops being a total fucking loser on the mic.
Unless WWE wants us to keep hearing sufferin succotash beanstalk promos. In that case, Roman goes over clean after 3-4 spears and superman punches. Then again an interference can be smelled from a mile away
>>1100210
In an ideal world, he's a tag guy.
He's not a good singles wrestler because he's not capable enough to convincingly hold his end in consistent, drawn-out matches that aren't spotfests. But he's perfectly fine hitting his flashy shit and displaying moderate athleticism after brooding on the apron, where he does have an admitted presence about him as an intimidating enforcer.
Throw him in a partnership with a Face that can take a beatdown. Honestly, I wouldn't even mind Roman and Neville. Fans desperately want to like Neville but don't have much to rally behind. He's a great seller, bumper and could easily work the vast majority of their matches only to tag in Roman and let him bbgurl up.
It would also be a big cred boost for Nev and give him spotlight he deserves.
The only issue would be a nadir of micwork in that tandem.
Who would you like to see IC champion?
1. Ryder
2. Miz
3. Zayn
4. KO Retains

Who is the BIGGEST pussy in wrestling?
Not like who is the wimpiest guy, but which Big Guy has a reputation for being unexpectedly weak?
Some options:
>Tazz
Ok, not the biggest guy ever, but built, and had a reputation as a hard man. But New Jack tells a story about how he got into a backstage scuffle and backed down and lost a lot of his rep while in ECW.
>Bill Goldberg
Big guy; massive in-ring reputation. But Chris Jericho put him down backstage and the entire locker room laughed.
>Kevin Nash
Another big guy and a bully and a politicker. But you watch him in shoot interviews when other wrestlers call him out on shit (eg: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KlWvU0g1UQU) and he goes into pussy mode, claiming they misremembered or are lying. The guy comes across as a liar and a bullshitter who would do anything to dodge a real scrap.
>JBL
Probably doesn't belong on the list, but he is a known bully and got KTFO by a commentator. Just has a glass jaw? Maybe. But he goes in the list because fuck Bradshaw.
Any others that can beat these big fairies?
>>1100117
Well as much as I love Punk if Ryback, Trips, and others are to be believed he never said jack shit to them and made all that shit in the interview up so he'd be a huge bitch in my book.
>>1100117
New Jack said that RVD bitch slapped Tazz in front of the entire ECW locker room. He basically lost all respect from everyone when he didn't do anything back.
>>1100117
John Morrison was whipped as fuck by Melina.
I just read that Tai Chi has been used as a form of self defense for thousands of years by taoist monks.
Is this a legitimate way to defend yourself, or would it fall apart in a real life situation?

Who's the guy on the right?
>yfw WM doesn't suck
Not likely
>a double main event comprised of two entirely predictable matches
>a diva triple threat between women who used to be good that will only be at longest 12 minutes
>two tag team matches one of which is made because the new day has beaten literally every tag team, and one that no one actually wants to see.
>a 7 man ladder match for the second year in a row with 2 future midcard jobbers, 3 current midcard jobbers, a man so buried it's kind of amzing he's even in the match. and 1 botchmonkey made out of glass
>meme mastodont vs mexican manlet
>and the battle royal dedicated to a dead giant where the reward is literally nothing.
So /asp/ies, what are your predictions for this match?
Dean wins

I'm interested in watching WCW.
I think the only worth chapter that I should start watching is when Nash & Hall start their Outsiders promo in 27th May 96 until Bash at the Beach where Hogan is the third member.
My question is, until when is it really worth watching Nitro and which PPV's?
Cheers.
1998/99 was the last good year.
>>1098044
From what I remember from the Monday Night War: WWE vs. WCW series is that until feud with Sting it was worth watching. I mean, Nitro. I don't quite know about WCW PPV's.
nWo Hollywood and Wolfpac era seems bad compared to the original one, even with the Giant.
nWo Elite era, i think is not worth watching.
Even so, these are only what I get from watching The Monday Night War: WWE vs. WCW tv series. I'd like more people to give their opinions.
>>1097727
If you're interested in the beginning of the death for WCW, buy the book Death of WCW and watch Nitro (and Raw) alongside it.
Otherwise just start watching at Nitro 1 or earlier (though Nitro 1 is a good starting point IMO). Just as a side note: Hall invading Nitro (on may 27) and cutting his famous promo (you want a war?) was the only highlight of a really terrible show.
how did someone like george foreman get such a powerful punch?
is it really from just heavy bag work?
i know mike tyson was also fond of using extra heavy bags to improve his strength, i was just wondering how did foreman get to be so strong to the point where his strength is still legendary amongst boxing fans?
Look at how broad his shoulders are and how big the muscles are in his shoulders and arms. Lots of weights and heavybag work.
