Does anybody even know what pro-wrestling is anymore?
>>1172968
*is supposed to be anymore
Sorry
the people who loves daniel bryan are the same people loves jim cornette, even though jim shits on flippy shit and how wrestling isn't realistic anymore

what are you doing
I don't see this discussed a lot here, but is UFC the next big threat to WWE?
UFC buy rates are climbing all the time, and at the same time WWE viewership has been collapsing for years. Surely their must be a correlation? As wrestling fans get more and more into the actual athletic side of things and want to see that over soap opera tier scripting, UFC offers a very viable real world alternative.
What do you guys think? Am i wrong?
>McGrobber jobbed to a half mexicunt
No
>UFC
Literally what?
There is overlap, UFC is mostly watched by 18 to 25 year olds who would of watched wrestling when it was cool and some watch both. To Vince it's only competition if it's on at the same time as Raw, he sees disney as competition. WWE is also more of a kids show now. Boxing (with a resurging heavyweight division) is bigger competition to UFC
There's literally no reason why this shouldn't be a thing. It's 2016.
Only if the red queen wins it

Eva Marie with the briefcase would be great.
The heat for Eva cashing in against Sasha would be crazy.

>this is what the avarage wrestling fan looks like
How lame.
This what happens when you spend all you're time eating cheeseburgers and watching men in tights pretend to fight.

I was reading Dave Meltzer's Twitter last night and some of the people who tweet him are the absolute worst kind of wrestling fans. He had to argue with people for half an hour after he said he got the WM attendance number from the stadium staff. So many tryhard, pompous, insecure people arguing with him and it's like... it's just freaking stupid, y'know. Like, the guy got the number from the source and people still want to listen to WWE instead of him, y'know?

Marks that think they are smarks are the absolute worst. Reddit is full of them
who should undertaker lose to when he retires/his last match?
inb4 sting since hes retired
>>1172666
Well Satan, if you ask me, there aren't really any options other than BMJ.

The match will suck, but it's the right thing to do.
JUST
LETHAL INJECTION

This isn't on topic in any way, shape or form.

Context?
Ideas that were badass on paper but sucked in reality?
God I remember how bad this match was. How the fuck is Khali still signed.

The Kennel from hell match.
had they booked it like a lumberjack match instead of putting 'rabid' dogs between the cell and the cage it honestly would have been top tier.
I don't understand the Smark hate. It's impossible to not be a smark in this day in age. By definition, anyone who knows that wrestling is a work is a smark.
>I don't understand the Smark hate
When you think you know everything inside the wrestling business, when you don't know jack shit except what you read on LE DIRTSHEETS, what's there not to be annoyed by?
>>1172531
That's just being a pretentious shit.
There's different types of smarks.
There's the reddit smark AKA the smarks wrestlers refer to when they say they hate smarks
>I chant alternate gimmick names at wrestlers
>Let me write paragraphs about my ebin wrestling knowledge
>I claim to know the business
>Melzter is god
>I read dirtsheets
etc
Then there's a normal smark, a wrestling fan who knows it is fake but appreciates it for what it is.
Remember way back in 2011 when Cole and Lawler couldn't understand why people were cheering for CM Punk other than HURRR ITS ONLY BECAUSE CHICAGO
Remember when Vince tells them what to say pretty much word for word via headset?
>>1173444
This. They were just saying what Vince wanted them to say. HEY YOU AT HOME, DONT LIKE CM PUNK
>>1173444
>everyone always readily jumping to defend commentators with this
I mean, you're right, but that card's overplayed. Vince tells them what to say, but he doesn't also tell them to deliver it with the emotional believability of cauliflower. Or to shudder over their lines like amateurs every couple sentences.
Who do you think will win the next WWE champion?
Eugene with the help of the Bullet Club

AJ Styles
>Eat your heart out girls
>Hands off the merchandise.
what did he mean by this?
he is saying he is faggot

his original entrance music was sung by Sensational Sherri, his manager at the time, about how cute he was and how he was her "Boy Toy".
Second verse is the one he used after he split from her.
Still using it to this day.
The more you know.png
how well do you reckon a pro wrestler would do in a real fight?
>>1172240
Many of them would do great, macho man himself was a hard motherfucker that knocked another wrestler that was holding a gun out in one punch
Brian Pillman was known as the hardest dude in Calgary
Rick Rude was a bouncer that used to knock people out with just an open hand slap
Harley Race had double tendons and was tough as they come
Etc
Etc
Etc

google Haku/Meng stories.
We'll find out, if he ever gets done with surgeries.
Open hand palm strikes vs closed fist punch.
Discuss pros and cons.
Personally, I prefer slapping even if you look like a bitch you can strike harder and you get half the risk of artrithis.

Bas Rutten said he could inflict more damage with open palm strikes due to the few extra inches the palm has to travel to hit and also less risk of injury.
