I mean, you'd see guys kicking out the pedigree or the tombstone at Wrestlemania only.
Now they kick out anything on every monthly PPV or even Raw.
It literally kills the purpose of the finisher and their credibility.
Lesnar needing 3 f5 to beat taker was a rare sight, now Roman takes 4 finishers and still gets up.

You might not, but casual audience would. That's the point, the shield have failed to become a attraction for that audience despite their extensive push.
Although, to be fair to Roman, when he first won the title from Sheamus on RAW in that Mcmahon angle to thunderous Philly cheers, the RAW rating bumped up a massive 27% increase. For comparison, the Rock's return in 2011 the rating increase was 26%. WWE clearly could not keep up the momentum with Roman, but the man did draw at one point.
