Does learning mma really give you brain damage?
I want to get into it and maybe try to do some small competitions but I'm planning on trying to get a PhD in chemistry and don't want that to be put at risk

Shake your head real fast for about 10 seconds. Grats, you just killed tens of thousands of brain cells.
Now ask yourself what getting choked out or punched in the head would do.
I have been doing Muay Thai for 5 years and I'm now pursuing my masters in mathematics. For me, leaving the house and meeting people outside of academia probably did more good than the harm done by taking a >>>>few punches.
>>1494410
Repeated blows to the head, alongside asphyxiation, cause brain damage.
However:

>You can probably get a PhD from a shit college even with brain damage if you're on the right meds

>take half of the roster and the biggest and only real draw (Cena) and put them on Smackdown
what did he mean by this?
>>1494392
We're likely going to see Balor Club vs Roman and it's going to be fucking awful.
He should just give up this false pretense about wrestling and go for the memes like TNA, it's the only thing of worth US wrestling has now.
The meme era is here.
They can't depend on cena forever, this is the time for testing waters, I'm sure they'll bring him back if shit hits the fans, this is wwe after all, everything is a joke.

Underrated post
Is this going to happen?
AJ can stand for his own, so they put Balor with the club to promote him?
>>1494354
they may join togeather but it wont be Balor Club as they abandoned the trademark request
Personally, I think they tried to build up Balor too much as his own persona in NXT, so just to throw him right back into his Bullet Club thing kinda makes all that time he spent down there a waste.
I know /asp/ shits on the guy a lot, but he had to carry NXT after all those pre-post Summerslam call ups from last year, including Itami and Zayn's injury. Dude was feuding with Joe all the time because there was no one else left down there that could be built up as a realistic main event level talent, and because of that, he wasted almost two years in the WWE when he really should have been called up sooner.
>>1494360
No-one watched NXT. They could repackage him entirely and the vast majority of the fans wouldn't realize.
>RAW GETS THE CRUISERWEIGHT DIVISION
>NOT SMACKDOWN

Yet another reason Smackdown will be better.
IT'S JUST NOT FAIR
>>1494332
Smackdown's best run is owed largely to flippy shits.
>the state of Heath slater
He's inured, injured people don't get drafted until they're clear to wrestle
Anyone got the video of him sitting alone at the end of the draft?
The version I watched cut off before the end.
So that "for every 2 SD picks Raw gets 3" stopped after Smackdown went off air?
Also poor fucking Heath lol. Social Outcasts were eligible to be picked as a unit too. Since Raw picked both Dallas and Axel it doesn't make sense that they wouldn't just draft all of them unless they deliberately didn't want Slater.
So who exactly from Raw is going to be considered a cruiser?
There's Neville & Sin Cara who are obviously cruiserweights. Then who?
Balor? They made him their 3rd pick, so seems like they have higher aspirations for him.
I guess Kofi or Xavier if New Day drop out of the tag division and pursue singles titles, which would be a good move for them I think.
Zayn? Again, I think they see him as higher up the card than that.
Darren Young I guess. Bo Dallas. Enzo and R-Truth if they aren't doing tag team stuff.
That's it. Mostly tag team guys plus Neville.
>>1494290
Anyone small enough. Ideally, they won't treat it as "this guy's too high on the card for the cruiserweight shit", and just sell that they're great athletes in their own right.
Which would make sense, since size is mostly irrelevant in booking-strength. Manlets can fight the Big Show, and Braun can get beaten by Ambrose.
>>1494295
>Anyone small enough.
Yeah that's who I listed. 10 guys, five of them in tag teams... it's weak as piss.
One proper thing WWE should've ripped off from TNA was the concept of the X-Division as how to properly do a "Cruiserweight" scene.
No real weight limits, just high flyers and high risk move sets.
Literally who?

So, how are the Tag Team belts gonna work? If the champs are exclusive to one brand, how does the structure of a Number 1 Contender work?
Have they talked about this at all?
>>1494155
They're not exclusive. But they'll probably be mostly contested on one brand, and they'll just take the chance at cross-brand PPVs to switch them over.
>>1494155
They have not yet decided about this or the women's title.
>>1494158
I guess I am more curious as to how they're gonna structure what makes a team a Number 1 Contender if they can't fight other teams in their own league. I get that there are crossover PPVs, but would they really establish a No. 1 Contender's match and have them fight the tag team champs at the next crossover?
Face it, the only reason Vince doesn't like this guy is that he's racist against Europeans. How many Europeans have been big main eventers, let alone world champions in WWE? Bruno Sammartino, that's it, and that was Vince's father who made him champ, Vince himself never got along with Bruno.
As long as Vince McMahon and his anti-European sentiments will be in WWE, Cesaro and any other European wrestler will never get a proper push.

Fold? No.
But it will take a couple years to repair that fuck up
