The first round was pretty good. Looking forward to the matches to come, given our pretty talented pool of competitors left.
Kota Ibushi VS ZSJ is gonna be the final battle, and Ibushi's gonna win because WWE is really high on Japanese talent right now.
Gargano/Ciampa was easily the best match so far, by a country mile.

Topic of the day: What's your preferred dominant ground position and why?
I personally like top side control better than full mount, but it seems like most of my other classmates prefer full mount. Anyone else feel this way? I just feel like I have more control over my opponent and it's easier for me to transition into arm traps and locks.

You're right, knee on belly is the first thing I go for if I have the opportunity. If not I just try to scoop the head.
Recently I've found that putting my hands on the mat and monkey gripping my forearm, then just pushing against the mat keeps me able to control my opponent a lot better as well. Not sure if they teach that in your school but it has made a world of difference for me.
