In the Uso's match with American Alpha, Ortunga started off talking about how he'd talked to Rikishi about his kids and found out about their 'new attitude' and was cut off by the start of the match. He kept trying to tell the story again like four times throughout the match in downtimes and right after. Every time he did he was cut off, usually by a replay being instantly brought up. It was really weird.

Probably not most of the ones actually getting feuds and screentime, figuring the ratings will bounce back after football ends, and they'd care more about the show that would hopefully increase their exposure and eventually paycheck more than whether what stories they're in are well written or not.

As it goes on and smackdown continues to grow a dedicated audience from the basic function of actually having a basic idea of how to write even the most simplistic of stories, while raw continues to lose it's entire audience though? All of them eventually.

Are you? Did you not read any of the rest of that post but that line? Management based off of the past years clearly seems to think quality of story doesn't matter to ratings and it's all just "THA KIDS AH WATCHIN ON THEY EYEPADS" and "IT'S JUST CAUSA FOOZBALL". I doubt many of the roster feels smackdown is the place to go to get a higher paycheck yet. It hasn't actually surpassed Raw in rating yet even with football.

As the ratings of smackdown slowly climb as it grows a dedicated audience off that quality and raw continues to fall, football or not, I imagine that perception will change.
