Was The Streak ended because Brock was damaged goods?

>Comes in, loses to Cena
>Cena says he's "going to go away for awhile" to sell the beating, misses a week
>Year long HHH feud which was extremely boring. Brock didn't even beat him clean in either of his wins
>Punk feud that ended in a good match but the build up was dumb. It was more Punk/Heyman than Punk/Lesnar

At that point Vince must have realized that Lesnar simply wasn't worth the amount he was being paid, and he needed something big. Lesnar was so fucked at that point that I remember reading some reactions of The Streak ending where people said they were either on their phone during the finish or skipped the match entirely because of a combination of not giving a fuck about Brock anymore and thinking there's no way Taker could lose with the way Brock was booked. I think if Brock was used better pre-streak, it wouldn't have happened

>Hogan was a big draw for more years than Austin. But Austin's grosses were so huge that his few years were bigger than all of Hogan's put together. The profit margin in Austin's best year was more than the total profit margin, in fact, significantly more, between 1984 and 1992, which was the entire Hogan WWE era. Just so this isn't misinterpreted. WWF profits from 1984-92 were about $40-45 million total. Best single year was $6 million. Profits were never less than $56 million each year from 98-99 through 00-01.

-AJ vs Cena vs Ambrose
Why the fuck did this open the show to begin with?
The match was perfect. 4.75 stars at least. AJ tapping to Cena and Ambrose simultaneusly and then getting fed up and picking up the chair to win was a great way to protect everyone. Great spots overall.
Ambrose got carried though and needs a heel turn.

Nikki vs Carmella.
Nobody cares.

Rhyno/Slater vs Usos
I expected the latter to win but at the same time I didn't want Slater to drop the belt this soon. Good thing they didn't, though I think a DQ win would have been better to keep the heat on the Usos. The match was good.

Corbin vs Swagger
Didn't watch it, it wasn't on dailymotion, top kek. Don't care anyway.

Ziggler vs Miz
Man, it would have been tough as fuck to beat that opening for the WWE title, but somehow Ziggler did it. I legitimately saw him gone twice, emotional match, the crowd loved it. Great booking against all odds.

Naomi vs Bliss
Nobody cares. Not even sure why the made Bliss job if she still has a title shot.

Bray vs Orton
A midcard match as main event? K. Good to see Bray going over because he badly needed it, good to see Harper back, however if this is to mean something, then Bray needs to become unstoppable.

So why do smarks hate him again? It's been years since his unbeatable reign of terror, he's one of the better mic workers in the company, and has put on a string of great ppv matches going back for about a solid year.

Is it just an old habit?
