So what is the purpose of such a title and why do we need another championship? Is WWE planning on airing a new show on the WWE Network for British wrestlers?

A thought occurs.
The most over babyface, the guy who gets the most outright CHEERS, in WWE right now is arguably Roman Reigns. AJ is also in the mix, but he's obnoxious enough that, combined with picking on Ellsworth, he gets a fair amount of actual boos.
What the fuck is wrong with these idiots? They've gotten three heels to get cheered strongly on complete fucking accident. If they just turned Cena "heel," had him not talk so goddamn much, CERTAINLY didn't script him to be a cornball Hogan knockoff, and just beat up dorks like Rusev of Strowman do, he'd be more over than Vince could goddamn imagine.
Don't give me the "It's PG" or "It's a kid's show" bullshit. The same holds true for Rusev and The Abominable Strowman, and they got over as fuck by being PG bad asses.
Bet money that, instead of applying lessons learned from this to Cena and actually making money, they will ruin what has Reigns over because they don't want a heel cheered. God forbid they actually turn him "face," and he becomes a doofy, one-dimensional bore.

Leati Joseph "Joe" Anoaʻi (born May 25, 1985) is an American professional wrestler, former professional Canadian football player, and a member of the Anoaʻi family. He is signed to WWE, where he performs under the ring name Roman Reigns on the Raw brand and is the current United States Champion in his first reign.
After playing collegiate football for Georgia Tech, Anoaʻi started his professional football career with brief off-season stints with the Minnesota Vikings and Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League (NFL) in 2007. He then played a full season for the Canadian Football League's (CFL) Edmonton Eskimos in 2008 before his release and retirement from football.

Dean had the belt and Seth was kayfabe Steph's pick to win the triple threat. It was more about the importance of the belt than anything, so enjoy the fact that AJ was drafted before Roman. Charlotte makes sense too since Steph injected herself into the center of the revolution at the time, so of course she'd want the champ on her show.
