Hi /an/ I've got a 60ft-high Californian palm in my garden and its tip is growing new leaves on top of the dead ones that won't fall on their own.
They look pretty ugly so I wanted to trim them off; too bad that tre is top fucking high and my highest ladder still can't reach them

TL;DR: what's the best and cheapest way to safely climb a palm that high?

hire a professional tree climber arborist to do it
>>
>>2316433
The point is I need to do that often, to remove any seeds before they fall down and fill my whole garden with saplings.. I can't afford to hire a professional arborist this often.

the climbing gear alone will cost more than several professional visits

not to mention the risk you'd be taking considering you don't know how to use it

You don't really have a choice. I'm not sure but I think 40' is the tallest extension ladder you can get.
Either learn to climb with spikes, or rent a boom lift.

Wrap duct tape around your hands and knees sticky side out and climb the fuck up there OP.

Honestly I was thinking about climbing with spikes, but I can't seem to find any equipment online. I'm not english so I don't know the exact keywords I have to look for... I won't fall down, I've already got some harness and I know how to set it up.

Could anybody link me some website where I can buy some special spiked shoes or basically any suiting climbing gear?
