I killed my mantis this way too, OP. Took one of those creepy centipedes with the huge long legs you find in your basement and threw it in there. It wrapped around my mantis and killed it. But then I had a new pet that was stronger than the last one. I'm really surprised yours lived that long, OP. What kind of mantis was it?
