Anyone here owns/owned a Rottie?
Was your dog playful? Did it get along with other animals? How are rotties compared to other doggies

Before there were "pitbulls" in the media there were "rottweilers".
They have high defensive and rank drives, I wouldnt own one because I refuse to butt heads with an animal in my house I am feeding.
Never owned one myself but would like one, dogsat many and new a bunch more. They are so lovely. They remind me of bully breeds with they're goofy happy attitudes. I prefer them undocked and I don't like the really thick looking ones like pic related.
With them(and pretty much all dogs, just these a little more) you do have to socialize them.
I don't trust rotties after seeing a seemingly chill one tear its owner's arm a new one. My pit never bit me no matter the situation.
I generally like rotties but the few I've known have always turned into assholes as they enter adolescence.

I'm okay with Thick Rotties. The rounder and fatter they are, the cuter.
But I'm also okay with not thick Rotties
