Honest /an/ tier list of small dogs?
I want one but so many sites advertise shit like Pomeranians and Pugs.
Crogis seem great but I worry about them emptying my life savings with a meme weaboo tax price tag

Are the only shelters you know of in the 90s? They've come a long way.
>>Pitbull mixes
>tfw anon literally said "small dogs"
Can you not read?
>>skiddish retards
Some of the most outgoing dogs I've met are shelter dogs, anon.
>>health issues
Mutts are healthier. Especially if anon is considering breeds like fuckin pugs.
>>black receptionist
What are you even on about.
Min pins are top tier. A lot of toy breeds don't really feel like dogs to me. Not because their size or looks but behavior I guess? You can take a min pin for a run and they act like a normal dog, they're pretty goofy too. Even with virtually no training being the shit owners we were when I was younger the two unrelated ones I had were great. They weren't happy either.
Owning a tiny dog terrifies me though. A friend accidentally killing my first one by jumping on it made me realize that even just a light step the wrong way can kill them or severely injure them. Too bad because I like them. I'm fond of Chinese cresteds as well but size aside it'd be too much work and money to keep them warm where I live.
American Eskimos are also amazing. I have an average one but they come in a smaller size. They're extremely intelligent and mine learns new commands almost immediately. Downside is the fucking barking holy shit. They are very alert and watchful and she looks majestic just sitting nonchalantly perched on a snowpile, just watching things calmly. I adopted her old so I'd like to think her barking could have been better curbed if raised properly(she came from a bratty rich kid going to college and one of things in a list she gave me was a list of her favorite songs and colors to wear) but everything will tell you that eskies seem to live for barking. She is not aggressive and will stop when you tell her to but if no one is around too then she will never shut the fuck up.

I have a 14 week corgi. Incredibly smart and already took to potty training in 2 weeks. I can't stand breeds that weren't originally working breeds so I'm pretty biased towards them.
Read up on their temperaments and sociability. I hike a lot and enjoy exercise so I choose a dog that is all about that. I used to own a German Shepherd but he has long since past away.
Also corgi is almost a medium sized dog, they can get from 25-30 lbs. The "small dogs" are usually 10-15 lbs.
I have a 14 year old chihuahua, I personally love small dogs, getting a dog really depends on what you're looking for in one op some breeds are harder to train or have different temperaments. that's not even counting individual dogs. your best option is going to a shelter, or looking on petfinder for a rescue dog.
