Cry like a bitch, swear you'll never get another pet ever...3 months later you'll be at the pound picking up another one. Just don't ever forget your first best friend. I had a cat for 16 years. Put him down last November. Fast forward 6 months another one is trying to fill his place.

Mine died yesterday while I was staring at his eyes turning blurred and he grasped for his last breath in my arms before turning cold and his back limbs started stiffening.

He left 4 babies behind... everytime I look at them I see their father and because of how much I loved him and how much he loved me back, I'll take good care of his babies for him.

You break a little bit. You're life sucks for a while. You'll cry and you'll have a hard time falling asleep at night. Eventually another one will catch your heart though. Just take each day one at a time. Try to stay busy and distracted.
