Hey guys, can you help me on what breed this kitten is?
My cousin just rescued it from a river a few hours ago, and he wants to give it as a gift. She's a stray and is recovering well (thank God)
Sorry if the image is terrible, I can't get any more from him today
Domestic longhair. Little cutie though, hope she does well. Also, pets as gifts almost never works out, I highly recommend against it.
Never give animals as gifts unless it's been already in planning. Like giving a child as a "gift".
Good luck.
Agreeing with both the Domestic Longhair and don't give it as a gift
Same as the others, animal as a gift won't end well.
OP here,
He knows that I've wanted a pet cat for a while now. Should I still refuse the gift? I had a few cats (they're living with my parents) before, so this isn't anything new

I've taken care of a few kittens and every one that was under 6 weeks when separated from its family turned into a clingy meowing little monster. Don't get me wrong, they were all great cats after they grew up, but the first 5 months were really rough and sleepless. Just be sure you're prepared for that and some destructive behaviors if you keep the little guy.
Good luck op

Sorry to hear, anon. Try tossing it in the river where you found it originally.
