I've helped many rare plant and animal species establish themselves in my area and didn't need a single dime for it.

what, you need money to build basic fucking birdhouses for common species?

I've also helped whenever I could, but it was all rather small in the past.
Now I plan on cleaning out hundreds square meters of polluted areas, planting trees in the monumental park, etc.
I don't need millions of dollars for this, but every dollar helps and it will all be spent on the materials, animal food and plants. I'm an university student so I can't afford it all myself, but I'm willing to invest my time in it.

I wasn't gonna plant hundreds of threes on a small field. Even though what you said is correct, trees can still provide home and shelter for a lot of animals, fungi or some plants that do not require much sun light.

if it's near a forest those animals got plenty of shelter already and don't need more of it.


bare areas are important for the biodiversity.

most diversity isn't in the undergrowth of forests, it's in areas that lack trees.
