What would the body of a human raised by monkeys look like?
What traits/instincts would this person have?
>>

>What would the body of a human raised by monkeys look like?
Like a human.
>What traits/instincts would this person have?
Whatever they learned from the monkeys. (you probably mean apes)

You don't seem to grasp how biology 101 works.
>>
>>1994789
No, I mean monkeys.
I know Louie is an ape but in the movie he's credited as "The Monkey King".
And I didn't want to look for pictures of actual monkeys, they're ugly and vile.
>You don't seem to grasp how biology 101 works.
I guess not?
I thought feral children's bodies differed from humans that grow up in normal environments because of adaptation.
Also because of adaptation depending on what animals they were brought up by, they have heightened senses in certain areas.
>>
>>1994792
>>
>>1994792

Feral cats are exactly the same as domestic cats.

They might have a better immune system and be functionally stronger due to the lifestyle, but it would still look like a human.

Tarzan doesn't have super powers.
>>
>>1994836
>Tarzan doesn't have super powers.
Well, he does in the original novels.

But anyway, a human raised by monkeys wouldn't be any different from one raised by people?
>>
>>1994792
Monkey is a social construct. Louis is transmonkeyed. Cis specied bigot.
>>
>>1994836
>They might have a better immune system and be functionally stronger due to the lifestyle
their average lifespan is barely making it to adulthood, I doubt it.
>>
>>1994792
>they're ugly and vile.
Yeah, sure...

>I thought feral children's bodies differed from humans that grow up in normal environments because of adaptation.
If you get twins and abandon one of them to make him live with apes the most probable outcome is that when they meet they won't look like copies of eachother. For instance one might be taller than the other one but that's because of diet, environment, etc and would literally happen to twins if they were sent to different First World countries.

>Also because of adaptation depending on what animals they were brought up by, they have heightened senses in certain areas.
Ecophenotypes exist, but that usually involves only shape barely more, if it changes with the environment and not with the population of said environment.
>>
>>1994786
They already exist. Black people (pls don't kill me 4 joke)
>>
>>1994909
Wow you are dumb.
Their lifespan is shorter cause cats that forage for food in trash cans, run across buisy streets on an hourly basis, and are surrounded by predators are less likely to die of old age.

Kids that eat random shit off the ground will have a way better immune system than a kid raised in a padded cell.

>What would the body of a human raised by monkeys look like?
You are assuming the apes would be able to raise a human and not kill it accidentally - like every single day. What are the chances of that? What would that person even eat? Most apes consume shit we can't digest. Or even if they did eat mostly fruits, we aren't frugivores, we are omnivores.
Proteins and meat are a vital part of our diet especially for somebody young. Despite what vegans would have you believe, eating meat is detrimental to human development.

So, assuming the apes miracolously manage to feed this human, their body would be stunted due to lack of essential vitamins and proteins. Their brains wouldn't develop correctly either (with or without proper food) resulting in some kind of serious cognitive impairment. They'd be nothing more than animals intelligence wise.
>What traits/instincts would this person have?
What any other animal has. They'd be slaves to their needs like hunger and fear. They wouldn't recognize themselves as humans either. They might have some senses that would be heightened slightly, and some physical skills like being great at climbing trees but that's about it really. With little practice anyone can do both, so even those things aren't that special.

It's kind of insane how much our species has come to rely on people teaching their children, stimulating their brains early on, and literally just giving them an unquantifiable amount of information in a very short amount of time. How to dress, what to eat, how to speak, to think, to behave, how to reason, to walk upright, what things are safe to eat, what are not, which animals are dangerous etc. And that's just the most basic stuff, we aren't even talking about "advanced" yet quite necessary stuff like cooking, reading/writing, following the rules of community, laws, and so on and on.

the average lifespan of ferals is 1, they don't have time to develope a 'better' immune system.

they're dead by the time they're adults and maybe get to breed once.
I'm writing a book that includes a fictional race of monkeys who can speak English.
Less ugly, but still very freaky (if that makes sense).
It looks like it's from China.

What's the difference between old and new world monkeys?

It's freaky looking like something dreamed up from a buddhist alien's acid trip, but it's still a very pretty animal.
And yeah, that genus is found in Asia. That specific species is in central China.

Some monkeys are omnivores actually. But I was talking about great apes mostly. I know orangutans are frugivores, gorillas are herbivores/frugivores but occasionally they do eat meat. Chimpanzees are omnivores however. The problem with that though, is that even if a young child got to consume meat, it wouldn't be cooked. It would be difficult for them to digest it, and they'd probably get sick from it too. Fruits are fine, because they are just that, bags of juicy, healthy fibers packed with vitamins. Certain roots are fine, eggs are fine. Meat on the other hand has to be cooked to avoid diseases and parasites. Cooking is not to be underestimated, it has literally shaped our evolution.
http://www.geek.com/news/geek-answers-why-can-animals-eat-raw-meat-but-we-cant-1593883/

Paleo diet fans claim that ditching modern food is a good thing, that cooking destroys vitamins and other nonsense, which simply isn't true. Cooking actually gives us easier access to them, it's literally the best thing that ever happened to our species. It's no wonder why some paleo dieters are malnourished, here's some debunking if you're interested.
http://www.scientificamerican.com/article/why-paleo-diet-half-baked-how-hunter-gatherer-really-eat/
Some studies have actually linked cooking and our increased brain size http://www.pnas.org/content/109/45/18571

Read the original Tarzan novel, unlike in the Disney adaptations, the apes that raised Tarzan aren't gorillas, but some kind of unidentified missing link. Basically, they where very hairy Neanderthals who never wore clothes because they lived in a hot climate and their fur gave them all the protection they needed.

And then do research on feral children. Feral children are humans that are raised without any contact with other humans. Scientific studies performed on these individuals when they are discovered shows that human brains atrophy a great deal when not properly stimulated via interaction with other humans. Because feral children are so rare, the level of atrophy varies from individual to individual.

In case you are wondering, there is a case of a feral child who was raised by monkeys, he vividly recalls a female monkey deliberately dropping food down to him from the tops of trees. Another case you should research is of a young girl deliberately neglected by her parents to the point that she lived entirely in a dog house in her parents back yard. She was adopted by the family dog who would share it's food with her.

Both of these individuals had significantly less brain atrophy than other cases of feral children, and currently live normal lives. But they still suffer from permanent brain damage.

No you posted a golden snub nosed monkey. The Golden Monkey is a different species. Pic Related
>>
>>1996731
eh, potato potato
>>
Physically, they would likely try to imitate whatever species they live with- neglected children raised with dogs often struggle to walk upright when rescued because they've been copying the dogs and haven't had an adult to encourage them to walk when they were toddlers. They would almost certainly never acquire true language- kids are primed to learn language at a young age, and if they're not exposed to it, even with intensive therapy their adult communication tends to be extremely limited and lacks a lot of the features associated with language. They would also likely struggle with a lot of abstract concepts that people take for granted- like they'd initially struggle to see a picture as representing something real. They would also likely be very intolerant towards confinement, noise and high levels of activity as they've simply not been exposed to anything as chaotic and busy as human society, and being able to step out on a street and spot literally hundreds of people they have never seen before would be a total mental overload, as would having to filter out thousands of sounds and sights every day that we automatically filter and realise is nothing to do with us. Even having to understand that you walk on paths and that living space is chopped up into little blocks with doors and windows and walls would be incredibly strange and unfamiliar- how many flat surfaces and right angles do you see in nature?

Overall, they'd be pretty fucked over if they spent their entire childhood with animals and would almost certainly require care for life. Humans are born very physically immature and as a result, spend much of their childhood and adolescence developing their full cognitive abilities. Interacting with other people is pretty essential for this and the development must be done at the right time, once the window has been missed for acquisition then the person can only really compensate for it to a very limited degree.

What the fuck.

I remember reading about that, I hadn't heard about the other case though.

In the book I'm writing, with the English speaking monkeys, I was gonna have it so that the girl they're raising goes to the human's market square and steals food for them, like Aladdin.

The original Tarzan is an amazing book, I believe it's even part of a series, but don't quote me on that.
>>
>>1997945
It is a series, but I'm not reading any of that racist shit.

Will you really just refuse to read something that you deem racist?
>>
>>1997983
Yeah, I'm not white, it actually matters to me.
>>
>>1996639
>>1996820
I'm also going to add that a child truly raised by animals/or is just neglected horrifically don't even learn how to use a toilet as adults. I've heard of one that did manage to say some words but humans deprived of other humans in early development get FUCKED up when they miss those key windows of learning.
>>
>>1997984
You're an absolute fucking moron. Racism was an openly accepted thing in many cultures, and still is in some. To dismiss everything that those cultures produced because their beliefs offend your delicate sensibilities is like painting over cave drawings because cavemen were too dumb to use permanent markers. It's anti-intellectual, borderline luddite tier bullshit.

God i want to fuck king louie so fucking bad I I just want to have sex all day and work in the porn industry but my dick is like 4 inches when hard and after I orgasm I get really hungry and tired like Stan's dad in South Park. This fact has made me develop fetishes like small penis humiliation and kekold/hotwife fantasies. My girlfriend knows all about this. Sometimes when we're doing the good-good I make her talk about her exes with bigger dicks and scream their name. The only porn I can get off to is when a seemingly innocent white girl gets fucked by a black guy's nightstick dick and her legs/body start rattling from the orgasmic convulsions. Other categories of porn satisfy my sexual urges like when a human girl is getting attacked by a giant ugly monster with a penis the size of a paper towel roll. It's really great when the monster finally unloads and the girls stomach balloons to the size of an exercise ball. One more thing I like is a non-stop flow of jizz. Kinda like when an oil rig blows out. Anyways, it was nice talking to you. Sorry I can't talk longer, I have to measure my penis to see if these supplements I bought are working before my sister asks for her measuring tape back so she can use it to measure the cardboard for her papier-mâché DonaldTrump mask.

>>1997984
Child victims of sexual assault matter to me, but I'm not going to ignore any literature from the Greek/Roman era, or any of their scientific advances, just because it was perfectly fine for grown men to fuck 8 year old boys back then.

You are capable of learning from people without repeating their mistakes.

>>

The main difference is that most roman/greek lit actually have literary merit.

Tarzan is just pure exotism.

I'm not that anon, by the way.
