Nice trips

90 gallon (pre drilled) with an eshopps r-100 and an aquamedic acone 1.0 Evo

The lights I have are intellisun ceruleans, kinda an older LED option, not commonly used. I have two 165 watt fixtures.

Up until I got my sea grass wrasse, the sand bed was doing wonders for me. But he sleeps in the sand and stirs it all up, so not a whole lot of biologic filtration coming from that anymore.

Discuss anything aquarium related here, including inhabitants, decor and issues.

Google is your friend.
Feel free to ask questions but know that there are a lot of resources out there that could answer your question a lot faster and accurately than /an/.

Make sure to include these things in your post before asking because we can't help you if we don't have the full picture:
-tank size
-parameters
-any and all inhabitants + how long you've had them

I just keep mine in a sterlite tub with a ton of leaves, dirt, cork bark, and sticks. They loooove leaf litter as well as things like carrot peels. I have a UTH stuck to the bottom of the tub and I use a Grow Pro Digital LED Thermostat to regulate it so it doesn't get too hot and melt the tub. They seem to be thriving. I also toss in springtails/isopods to eat dead roaches and their waste.

canot deal with this new cat

i follows me around 90% of the day
sits on me every time I sit, lie down, bend over, stop moving

I have thrown it off me a hundred times today, it's out of control, the animal just does not learn

it's need for CONSTANT physical contact is unbearable

what can I do?
punish it every time it touches me? it's not like I don't like it, but it does it all the time, and you cant train an animal by being inconsistant

>>
Why not just get a hamster, plant, fish or snake if you wanted an animal you didn't have to interact with much?
>>
Rehome it and get a less clingy animal. The cat is going to be unhappy, you are going to be unhappy, find it a nice old lady who wants to fuss over it all day long and get yourself something less interactive. Affectionate cats are not difficult to rehome.

Your dude is just super aggressive. It's rare, but betas can sometimes be aggressive against non-betas and even their owners. He may warm up to you in time, but either way I woudn't stick your fingers in there without removing him first just in case.
>>
Since it's still so recent, it could just be stress from a new environment. The longer you hang around, the more he'll realize you aren't a threat (and likely mean good) so he'll settle down.

She is my only mistress.
>>

I gave up meat for her, I give her that, because it is the least I can do.

Okay, so I need an answer on this kind of fast. We just got a new kitten, and my parents (I'm 23, no underage here, just a frugal college student) want her to sleep outside in the screened porch for a while. That's where her food and litter are. I was playing with her for a little while after my parents went to bed, and I was supposed to stick her outside to sleep
However, it's kind of chilly outside right now and when I put her out she started mewing a bit and I ended up bringing her in because I felt bad.
So right now I have to decide whether to keep her in my room for the night. The problem is, my room is a bit of a mess, and the cat's litter and food are outside. The kitten is already litter trained, but I don't know how long it's been since she last pooped/peed, and I don't want her doing it in my room. The litter is outside in the screened porch.
I guess what I should be asking is, was she mewing because she was cold? Do cats have issues sleeping in slightly chilly weather? Or is it possible it was for another reason? And if I keep her in for the night, how should I handle her litter?
15 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
Keep her inside.

It won't kill you to move the litter in your room. If she shits/pisses it in, it will take you less than minute to scoop it out and dispose of it so it doesn't sit there and stink. Also clean your room, you gigantic manchild.
>>
>>1994329
right off the bat we need to know where you live and how cold it gets at night.

kittens aren't very capable of staying warm on their own. They're tiny and they lose a lot of heat very quickly. Unless you're living in the tropics your babby probably isn't going to survive a winter outside.
>>
>>1994330
I'm worried that the litter may trigger my allergies. I'm allergic to cats. The cat herself doesn't cause me problems directly, but the litter might.

>>1994332
The American South. North Alabama, to be specific.

Sounds like I should definitely keep her inside, so I suppose the big issue now is her litter.
