I impulsively bought a female veiled chameleon yesterday. I've never owned a reptile before and I understand chameleon's are high maintenance animals and I have a lot to learn. I bought her a Zoo Med Repti Breeze Chameleon Kit from PetCo (same store where I bought her) as well as a kind of bendy branch thing (also fake) a moving water source, a mister and a humidity gauge. I've been feeding her crickets and mealworms, but she doesn't seem to be touching the mealworms. The temperature fluctuates between 65 degrees and 90 degrees, but I try to keep it above 75 at all times, but it's difficult. The humidity drops under 50 if I don't mist it constantly. Advice? Suggestions? Am I doing anything wrong? I don't want to kill her. P.S. She's extremely fucking mean and won't let anyone get close to her without hissing or trying to bite them, including me.

Why the fuck does my cat meow at me to go to sleep? Every night around midnight she run into my room and meow incessantly no matter what I'm doing. She won't stop until I climb into my sheets and allow her to curl up on my left shoulder. Cuddling is fun and all, I guess, but why do cats do this? Or is this even a common cat thing?

My cat opens and closes a door, and he brought a rabbit inside the house and stored it in the cupboard for later. I only found this out today when he was pawing in a cupboard. And a baby rabbit ran out of the cupboard. So I rescued it from the cat and I've been getting it to drink water, I've also put antiseptic cream on an old scarred wound where the cat grabbed it.

So pet rabbit advice, is what I'm after.

How many hours of sunlight do rabbits need per day, and how large of an enclosure, at the moment I have the rabbit in a cardboard box with some hay in it stored away from the cat.

Edit: it's antibiotic/antiseptic cream.

Wild rabbits do not make good pets. They do not tame well and most die from captivity stress.

I have a 4-month-old puppy (though I've only had her for a month), and about a week ago she started to play with her fesses. This is really annoying because it happens half of the time she defecates, and she always makes a mess by spreading it on the carpet, plus getting some on her nails (meaning I have to go to the shower and clean her paws every time). I've also been unsuccessful in training her to defecate on a certain place (tried putting some fesses on said place, and making her smel it). Urinating she got quickly through a liquid thing that I bought, but this I just can't make it happen.

I started hitting her (not too hard) every time shes does it and then locking her up in the bathroom for 10 minutes, while also giving her treats whenever she doesn't play with shit (though I'm almost certain she isn't making the connection of treats = not messing around).

Please help me control this scat lover.

Teach her "leave it"
My puppy used to try and eat his poop but eventually he learned that and I rewarded him for not touching it a few times. Now he doesn't even sniff his own now that I think of it...

All puppies play with poo, anyway OP. I've known dogs who just kind of grew out of it
>>
My dogs love to EAT poop and they tend to let it somehow make its way into the house. If your pup eats it, there is a medication that helps stop that desire. And if you see her do it what would work for me was squirting her with a squirt bottle, yell stop and show her the mess she made, grab her collar and put her face to face with the mess and tell her no that's bad and continue to put her in a time out. I'm no expert but these are somthings that helped me.

Hey guys. Let's have an animal guessing quiz. We post images that would hint what animal we are thinking about. The one that guesses correctly posts the next riddle. Here's mine.

Most shelters are flooded with animals around February/ March. That's when people start to get tired of their Christmas present pets.
Consider adopting after Christmas.

My cat is about 24 years old now. He's been in amazing health, still runs around and hunts mice in the house and everything. He's been deaf for a few years now, though. Recently, his ear has been oozing this really funky waxing buildup- we clean his ears regularly, and this is beyond the normal ear wax. Don't think its mites, but scheduled for the vet later this week. Any ideas what it could be, and what treatments I can do for him in the meantime?

>>2008004
get it checked.
>>
>>2008004
There is probably an infected cut in there. Carefully wipe up as much as you can with some q-tips, try to keep it clean until the vet appt, keep her/him from scratching at it.
>>
What does it smell like? It could be mites, a bacterial infection, yeast or a fungus.

A hole and a pond liner or preformed?
>>
>>2009630
dig hole at its deepest ~5' deep. Buy high quality pond liner so you don't ever have to replace it. Fill with hose water, throw some potted marginals in and let nature take its course. Since you are so far north, you have to dig deep otherwise the whole thing will freeze solid in the winter.

Alright guys I hate to make my own thread about this but it's kind of an emergency and I can't find anything about it online.

I just made a new enclosure for my Pacman frog last night, I bought some organic unfertilized potting soil from Lowe's as substrate, along with some sphagnum moss I've had for a while. When I put the frog in there last night, she buried herself in the dirt, as they do. Today, I dug her out and placed her in her water dish in an attempt to maybe make her defecate, as she had a pinkie mouse a few days ago. When I put her in, after a few minutes I noticed a LOT of what appeared to be tiny whitish insects (very tiny) floating in the water around her and crawling on her back. They looked like silverfish a bit and rapidly jumped off my finger when I scooped some up. She doesn't look injured by them but there were a lot of them, and it had to have been from this new enclosure because I've never ever noticed anything like this before, and her smaller, old enclosure had the exact same substrate and everything.

I'm taking my turtle to the vet Thursday, so I'll ask about it then, but in the mean time, does anybody have an idea about what these are or how I can get rid of them? Pretty wirried about it, thanks in advance for any help.

Pic related is new enclosure

springtails, they're probably living in and off the sphagnum.

harmless if not beneficial.
>>
>>2009340
What do you mean by beneficial? How could it be benificial?

Is there any way I can make sure that they are springtails or to get rid of them if I want?
>>
beneficial for sure. they will eat any mold/fungus that wants to grow in your tank. completely harmless to your froge.
