Is he, dare I say, the most stupid and idiot cunt that you can read online?
The dude has a PhD in Physics and has probably been keeping hots longer than you've been alive. No matter what you think, he's stayed breathing by doing something right.

>PhD in Physics
Really qualyfied to talk about phyiscs. Not the subject being /an/ I guess
> been keeping hots longer than you've been alive.
That's what his fans keep saying and I don't understand why, because he uses it to say whatever he wants, complain about things he does and basically shitposting everywhere he can.

Some context here please?
Any idea what fish is this, /an/?

>Visit black friend's house
>he just recently got a cat from an animal shelter
>Very skittish
>Notice something creepy as hell
>Notice he sometimes slowly blinks at the cat
>Sometimes the cat will do the same and come over
What the hell is this? Is it a black thing?
>non-verbal communication is creepy
Stay far away from deaf people.
I do it with my cat. It's a sign of trust, affection, and contentment. Cats don't use much verbal communication naturally, though they might meow for our benefit.
Kudos to your friend for being able to read basic cat body language. A lot of people never bother to learn.
>>2013594
It's how cats communicate. Cats don't like meeting the eyes of other people/animals, and blinking slowly is a sign that you are no threat. Same with looking away.
I just wanted to thank you posters and scum of the earth that have seen the inferno on /b/ and decided to create /an/.
You that lie out of death's grasp will keep lighting the way.
You are about to witness the rise of a new god/goddess.
I'm so happy to share with you guys and I can't wait to see what you will always procreate
You never cease to amaze me, lovers
I will repost the glories that you posters of 4chan have gifted to me
-Thank you
It's all just games that we can play
I'm about to get a dwarf hamster, pic related.
My gf and I are getting it from one of her classmates, along with cage, bedding, wheel, water bottle, and a bowl.
Outside of that, I've haven't had a small cage animal in a while, can you guys give me any advice?
Bump, I get out of work in an hour.
>be op
>take hamster
>name it Sir Charles the Fourth of Namibia
>look it in its beady black eyes
>understand hamster has great potential
>godly potential
>too much potential
>paranoia.jpeg
>assert dominance
>place hamster in hamster ball
>runs into wall a couple times
>poor simple minded creature. Lucky it, you are master over it.
>obtain hamster and put in inventory
>proceed to find stairs
>roll hamster down stairs
>freedom.jpeg
>stand proudly with beard flowing in wind
You've raised your hamster well. It will conquer a few lands and build up its army before returning to take you down. You have a couple of years to prepare, as is the way of master and pet owner.
>>2012930
I am already 99% sure that the cage will be too small.
Get a 100cm x 50cm x 50cm tank
Just how effective were saber teeth compared to more modern carnivore teeth and why did it die out? Their bites obviously weren't as strong as anyone would like to think so they most often relied on strength and size, so did the 'sabers' of the animal world die out in favor of the smaller animals with a stronger bite force?
At some point they must have been some sort of advantage considering all the saber cats, false-saber cats and even some kinda-of-not-really marsupials had them. Was it just an 'advantage' at some point because these animals just happened to be large enough to subdue their prey by brute force alone?
Pic related, Thylacosmilus atrox.
Also pic related maybe, a clouded leopard skull. Very long canines and more pronounced sagittal crest.
>>2012925
Like Jaguars and Panthers today they'd climb up trees and drop down ontop of prey using their sabers (and the momentum) to stab into the backs of the prey. They died out most likely thanks to the ice age causing more grasslands to form.

So, I have had these two budgies in a big cage for the last two years and I never really interacted or tried to gain their trust. At first they would freak out just by being near their cage and opening the doors to refill essentials. But in time they grew used to me and let me be near them after the routines.
But I want to make friends with them, and the the green budgie is more wary so she'll jump or back away from me while I'm near. So I want to know how to gain their trust, become friends. I want to put my hand in there and let them crawl on and fly to me and all that, you know, companionship, trust, love. But I'm not sure they would because they have each other.
pic kinda related, not them cus phone camera is broken.
>>2012672
You kept them in their cage for two years without ever letting them out?
>>2012825
this...
birds need time out of their cage...
>>2012825
Well no, they don't trust me and it'll would bring them significant stress by catching them. But once they get more trusting I'll be letting them out.
Can someone please tell me what kind of cat is the one in this picture?
He looks very nice and I like the shape of his head/jaw. I want a cat like this but I can't figure out what kind it is. Thanks.
Brown tabby oriental shorthair.
>>2012661
Thank you.
I really like the shape of their skull and jaw. It's pretty cool and alpha.
>>2012662
They come in about a hundred different colors and patterns too.
I want a reindeer. What does /an/ want?

you're alright

A rottweiler. Every one I've ever known has been a total lovebug and it saddens me that because of their morphology they've been trained to harm people, giving them a bad reputation.
I'm not going to get one in the near future because I don't envision being stable enough to justify owning a large pet, especially one as intelligent and social as a dog.
One day.
has anyone tried these things? websites have good reviews, a few people say it didnt work for them. just bought a bag of the soft chews to try them myself. one of my dogs gets major anxiety on new years and july 4th over fireworks and all that and the other is a monster to get his nails cut and id rather not have him get full on sedated if i can avoid it.
>>2011880
I know a few people who use these, work great. They take about twenty minutes to go into effect, what's great is you can increase dosage as needed, some dogs or situations may call for a larger dose.
Is this something I can try too? What's the active ingredient?
>>2012590
Trust me, don't. They are safe but they will make you feel groggy in a really heavy, unpleasant way.
Active ingredients are chamomile, valerian, tryptophan, and St. John's wort.
For animals working to pull a heavy load, say a team of buffalos, oxens, horses or dogs...Do people need to train them to work together? Or do they just hitch them onto the load and make them follow a leader?
They don't really fight with each other, oxen especially because oxen usually refers to castrated bulls. These animals have been raised around each other and their environment so they're pretty much just used to everything.
How much training they get is sort of a geographical thing but in general they are trained to respond to signals, be it verbally or physically(poles, whips, tugging a certain way on a rope, etc). It would be extremely dangerous to just take a random ox/horse/etc and strap them up if they've had zero training.
They don't really 'follow' the leader. A pair of oxen are connected by a yorke, one can't move without the other. Two oxen are usually good enough to pull just about anything that needs pulling but yeah, I suppose if you have multiple pairs in single file then yes, the ones from behind would have to follow what the ones in the front are doing.
>>2011560
*yoke
I don't know anything about it, but ya it totally takes a lot of training for the critters and being a teamster for more than two is a pretty skilled job. You don't just hitch something up that has never seen a wagon before.
Post rare or just strange cetaceans.
This is a Southern Right Whale Dolphin which I had no idea existed until today.
