Is there perhaps someone who can help me with this... My dog is very sick and I don't know where else to turn but 4chan.
My dog (Bruce) is fifteen years old, very happy, always playful.
This morning he was chasing a ball and he barked, played, ran...
Since this evening at 19:00 when my mother got home from the doctor, she noticed alot of puke on the floor, pee on the doormat and more.. (I don't know the details as I was at work) He is currently laying on his cushion, squeeking everytime he breathes in.
I just checked on him 10 minutes ago and he was laying INFRONT of his cushion, awake and staring at the wall, not responding (He's a bit deaf)
He won't eat, he won't drink.. He won't even sleep.
I checked under his lip and his flesh is very white.
I'm worried /an/... Worried that I lose my best friend. Please help me!
vet.
take him to the vet you fool.
he may have got into something poisonous
OP here
The problem is... The vet is closed.
(I live in Holland)
If you could own any animal on the face of the planet, what would it be?
I think it would be great to own a pair of red pandas
a large number of Araripe Manakins
>>2054642
they only live for 13 years ;_;
>>2054648
There are somethings that just shouldn't end. A red panda is one of those things.
What's the best dog breed for having a companion to chill with you and smoke weed and bring to parties and stuff?

How comes blue whales dont get more attention
They are the biggest animals ever to exist and yet nobody really talks about them
Hard to study and what is there to talk about?
Filter feeders overall are incredibly uninteresting.
It's a floating lump.
is it the most efficiently designed animal?
The killer whales need freedom, just like our internet needs freedom. Not enough has been done, so hopefully Seaworld will soon crash. Tired of the bullshit from executives.

>killer whales need freedom, just like our internet needs freedom

Then we can free all our cats, chickens, dogs, birds, fish, reptiles, hamsters, cows, etc. They're all just caged animals, after all.
Also, whales are adept at living in tanks. All animals without advanced thought are. The same as a clownfish in a 20 gallon aquarium. They don't have a lot of 'deep thought' going on about their plight. Their deepest thought is "oh, its getting light, that means I eat soon"
Fucking hippies, man.
>>2054094
>All animals without advanced thought are
Wow.
You are functionally retarded.
Animals that remind you of yourself.

this is mine obviously having fun
It can be a fun time for both of you but you should always follow up with a toy that they can actually catch and "kill;" otherwise, they can become frustrated which can lead to behavioral issues, especially in kittens

Don't use green ones. You could blind your cat.
Which great ape would be the least likely to randomly rip your face off if you were keeping it as a pet?
I feel like Orangutans are the most peaceful of them.
>>2053017
Bonobo
>>2053028
Bonobos are violent fuckers too.
Op, the answer is probably the gorilla. Orangutans are cooler too, but i've heard more stories of them being assholes than gorillas.
>>2053017
None of them. If a primate wants to rip your face off, then it's going to do it and that will be the end of it. Orangutans only seem peaceful because most of the interaction shown with them involves individuals that were raised by people, or at the very least were exposed to them long enough to become adjusted to human presence. A wild Orang would outright fuck a person up if the mood struck them. Males especially considering how they get fuckhuge and are territorial.
Do any of you have pet beetles?
Where did you get them and do you have any advice for new owners looking to purchase a beetle?
I had a wild European rhinoceros beetle inside my house once, but it disappeared
I had a brother, but my family mistreated him and he died. Only now do I feel bad about what we did to him.
>>2052800
Did he like apples?
So, I am going to buy an American Pitbull solely for house guarding, and you know, Fun...
Any Piece of Advice?
>>2050734
Actually do your research instead of expecting us to tell you everything, dipshit.
There's better dogs for guarding. Especially when you probably just planned to buy some shit BYB "exotic xxx muscle guard pitbull terrier"
Don't mutilate their ears. It's not necessary at all.
>>2050785
Don't mutilate any dogs. Don't buy from anyone who crops or docks.
I think docking can be done when necessary, but not without anesthesia on a week old puppy with a pair of scissors. It should be done as an adult with anesthesia.
Did you take your pets with you when you moved out of your parents house? What were they? If you didn't take them, why not?
I'm moving out soon and my parents want my dog to stay with them. I pay for literally everything and he's registered under my name so they agree that he's mine. But they think he'll have a better life with them since someone will be home all the time. I interact with him more than they do though and they like to spoil him so I feel like he's going to end up overweight and regress on his training. Not that they're bad owners by any means, just that they don't really know how to raise a dog and they tend to anthromorphise him. I'm considering like joint custody desu
I'm moving out soon and I'm trying to decide. my parents wanted him originally as a puppy, but he slowly became mine as they didn't want to deal with a puppy. but now that he's older they'll be fine. I am really really attached to him, but they live on 6 acres of woods and I would be moving into a small apartment with roommates, and a pit/husky would undoubtably do better in the county. plus I worry I wouldn't even be able to find a place that would let me take him due to being a pit. plus one of them is almost always home

Discuss anything aquarium related here, including inhabitants, decor and issues.
Google is your friend.
Feel free to ask questions but know that there are a lot of resources out there that could answer your question a lot faster and accurately than /an/.
Make sure to include these things in your post before asking because we can't help you if we don't have the full picture:
-tank size
-parameters
-any and all inhabitants + how long you've had them
Links:

>FUCKING GOOGLE - http://www.google.com
/an/, I bought a saltwater tank already set up and running with no live stock besides 2 hermit crabs. Idk how in the hell they survived the trip as I moved the tank and water when it was snowing.
Anyway, I can't seem to get the amount of water in either the sump or the main tank correct for the pump to not flip the fuck out like pic related
Pic of the sump setup, it's 3 chambers which I guess most are. First has a filter bag that needs to be changed with skimmer, second has nothing right now, and third has the return pump.
If i fill the third chamber up anywhere near the water line it'll be good for like a day or two and then spazz the fuck out and only have half the water where it should be. I added 2 gallons two days ago to the sump and it worked fine, I come home from work and it's doing this again.
The pump is only rated for 300gpm(minutes or hours idk) and the overflow tank is rated for something stupid like 800. I'm not losing water anywhere and there's no way 2 gallons evaporated in as many days
So I've been looking for a dog for the past three months, but I can't decide on a breed, and I need some input/advice from people with personal experience. I've decided on a couple of things though.
>Male Puppy that has been sufficiently nurtured by his mother and siblings as well as socialized with kids.
>Neutering will happen at 12-15 months. (Which many vets and dog trainers encourages to prevent testicular cancer and unwanted agressive and sexual behaviour.)
>Medium to Large
>Medium to short Coat length
>Don't mind shedding or grooming (I've always loved bathing and brushing previous family dogs)
>Intelligent (inb4 everyone saying that their dog is super smart)
>Capable of extensive obedience training.
>Calm at home or indoors in general after excercise.
>NOT interested in raising a champion in agility or whatever, just a loyal companion.
Me:
>Frequent Jogger, runner, camper etc. Anything involving outdoor activity and exploring.
>Wokring part time at the moment, 2-3 days a week.
>Calm and friendly
>Live in a house with a medium sized yard, but large outdoor areas to cover. (Norway, man)
>Have Had dogs my entire life, mostly small to medium size, but this is the first one I will own alone.
Breeds that I'm concidering are:
>German Shepherd (Smart, Loyal, djkhaled.gif, highly intelligent, Energetic, Beautiful)
>Labradour Retriever (Kind, loving, family dog, very smart)
>Alaskan Malamute (partial to this one because of their tendency to be stubborn)
>Siberian Husky (Also partial because of their headstrong will and stubborness)
>And... suggestions?
Also what the hell is up with these dog breed test questions?
>7. How do you tend to react when a good friend starts telling you a story you've already heard?
>- Interrupt and beat her to the punchline. Or: - Smile and nod, smile and nod

im not going to read that shit
>>2050344
But it was enough to make you respond.
Well played anon
Stubborn dogs are a pain in the ass, and huskies can be particularly destructive.
Malamutes are more long-distance slow-joggers than sprinters, so you should bear that in mind.
Both malamutes and huskies are notorious for having unreliable recall and high prey drives. So they'll either be excellent tethered campers/explorers/whatever, or nightmares that you're going to lose some place and end up having it shot for looking wolfy. Which happens more than you'd think, depending on your location.
With German Shepherds and Malamutes, you've got aggression to be aware of. With German Shepherds, you really need to choose your breeder carefully, and even then you might get a dog with terrible health. This is true for all dogs, but especially Shepherds.
Labradors are probably the "easiest" dog from your list, but if you go working field lines, you're going to have a much higher energy dog that can be difficult. And you've got to watch them for obesity -- they're inclined to fat.
