different spiderling but I think they are same species
>>
There are not a whole lot of spider that are venomous enough to cause any real danger. Could you get a better or closed picture of the spider? Close enough to see colors, stripes and other markings?
>>
>>2082271
Those pics are more than enough to tell that it's some sort of jumping spider, although I'm not sure which species. As far as I know, no jumping spiders are dangerous to humans.

While the most dangerous spiders can cause lasting injuries to humans, there is literally not a single spider species in the world that can kill an adult healthy human. Neither do they want to: no known spider species is aggressive towards humans.

Hard to tell. Poke it with a toothpick and see if it moves. If it does, it's a tick. But it also looks like a scab.

I had a poke, didn't move, almost sorta came off. But whatever it is its dug in deep to her skin.

My neighbors have a hamster in a small cage in their front yard.
I've asked them to bring it inside, Arizona is no place for a pet outside like that, but they refused.
I don't think the humane society will care.

What's your advice? :(

Get up in the middle of the night and take the hamster.
>>
>>2082004
break into their house in the middle of the night, hold them at gunpoint, douse them in gasoline and set them on fire.
>>
>>2082004

call the humane society and animal control, and ask for their advice. They probably won't be able to do anything, but you never know. Hamsters will die with that kind of temperature variation, so maybe they will be able to do something.

Honestly though, I'd probably just pay a friend 20 bucks to steal it during the night and then take care of it or rehome it.

I love my roommate's dog, but she's suddenly gotten way too sappy/clingy towards me lately. I can't leave her alone without her howling and crying, scratching at my door, or running around distressed. She was raised really sappy by our 3rd roommate at the time, and she's used to being almost attached at the hip to my roommate when he's home.

But he works nights, and I work days, so I'm alone with her from the time I get home until bed. He walks/exercises her twice a day, so it's not like she's hyperactive, she just can't stand being left alone when she can hear me in the house watching tv.

How do I get her to calm down and be more comfortable by herself? She doesn't freak out when we leave for work or anything, and she's not destructive...

Sorry, I didn't mention that even though she was raised really sappy, this is kind of a new development. She hasn't been this crazy about cuddling with me until the past couple of months.
>>
>>2081943
Go outside and enjoy life instead of watching TV?
>>
>>2081989

Thanks for not being helpful. I go out a lot, but I also work a lot. Sometimes I just want to come home and sit on my computer and watch the game or something without having a dog in my lap.

My mom squeezed out something pretty much identical from her dog's back. I don't think it's anything to worry about, since cats and dogs also get blackheads. Hairless cats get them really bad.

Anybody here /doggydaycare/? I bough a puppy while I was off work and now I'm about to go back. I'm a little worried about her at home. Seems to be a little expensive. I was thinking about doing it a couple times a week.

It's really nice to have if you have the money.

I take my dog to daycare on days when I both work and have night classes and would only be home for an hour that day. I drop him off at around 7am and get ready for work, pick him up around 2:30, and then I go to class until about 9pm. He'd be pretty miserable if he had to stay home all day like that, but he LOVES daycare. On days I'm going to take him, I ask, "Do you wanna go to puppy camp?" and he starts doing laps around the house out of excitement.

I was really lucky to find a good one. They also do boarding, baths/grooming, nail clipping, they'll administer some vaccines (kennel cough) and every once in a while they have a vet come in and do anesthesia-free teeth cleaning for a really low cost. They separate little and big dogs (and dogs with varying energy levels), in the summer they have pools and water toys, and they have indoor/outdoor areas that the dogs are free to move about in. They also have webcams so you can check on your dog at work and to keep the employees accountable.

All the praising aside, it IS very pricey (mine costs about $18 a day, and that's because I bought a package. drop-in is $26 a day), and I only do it because 1) I currently have the money, and 2) it isn't fair to leave a dog alone in an apartment from 8am to 9pm with only about an hour break. Last semester he got to go twice a week, this semester I've managed my schedule so he only has to go once a week.

Also, DO YOUR RESEARCH and make sure it's a good facility. Every once in a while you get horror stories like this: http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2014/12/22/green-acre-boarding-dog-deaths-cruelty-charges/20795109/

>"This case never should have been brought in the first place, and we expect that after any further review the County Attorney will not find additional evidence to support bringing charges again," Wilenchik's statement said.

Those pieces of fucking shit have the audacity to say that shit because they got connections. Fuck.
>>
>>2081936
I honestly would have found a way to do major physical damage to these fucks, if not killed them. I thought this case was still going but I only now found out the charges were dropped over a year ago. They're disgusting pieces of shit and I hope they really get what's coming to them.

This is Larry. Im afraid he might be dying.

He is a moth caterpillar I found 3 days ago on the sidewalk and brought home. The first day I put him on a flowerpot and he has very active, would only stop moving whenever I touched him or picked him up. The second day he turned pale and hid under the shade. I went and brought back around 5 or 6 types of leaves from where I found him and put them in a bucket with him in my room, but he ate none, in addition to reacting aggresively whenerver I touched or moved him, retreating right back to the nearest shade. The third day, yesterday, he started to move less and less and turned paler still. Some people online assured me that he was molting and identified him as a fig sphinx, which brought some relief. But today Larry doesnt move at all on his own. I think he might still be alive because whenever I poke him his body twitches slightly, but you have to look very colsely to notice it, it might just be the way his corpse reacts to pressure but I want to remain optimistic. Before, the skin he is supposed to leave would bulge around his body, but now it seems to have dried and settled back in, maybe even rotting and giving him a brownish tone.

Does anyone know what to do? It makes me feel sick to think that he might be dying and I cant do anything about it.

Found this in my cat's water dish today. I cleaned it extra well after finding it. I put the water out yesterday so this is remarkably fast for the bugs to form.

I'm constantly dealing with bugs in this house and I'll be moving soon. It'd just be nice to add to the list that I've delt with already.

maybe a dumbass question, but do rabbits sleep?

I've had mine for two years, and I just realized I've never seen her sleep. Even when I wake up in the buttfuck middle of the night, she'll be awake in her pen.

>>
>>2081637
they're prey animals, so they sleep intermittently
she's definitely been asleep, you just weren't awake to see it

of course, this is assuming that there isn't some kind of stressor that would keep her from sleeping, but it's best to assume good faith
>>
>>2081648
This. They're also super light sleepers, so whenever you walk in the room you wake her up if she happened to be asleep.
>>
>>2081637
2 months in and I haven't seen my bun sleep either. As I understand, if you see your rabbit laying down like pic related it is because she is chill as fuck.

So my Shi Tzu bud is 14 now and I've been feeding him nice sliced ham/turkey etc. instead of dog food. I figure he's pretty old now so what the hell. Is this a good idea or does their body agree more with designated "dog food"? I haven't noticed him getting sick or anything.

you're going to end up giving it a heart disease like that.

>I haven't noticed him getting sick or anything
do you really think heart disease or cancer is easily visible?

>he's lived to a healthy old age on one type of food
>why don't i change his diet
