What's your thoughts on Aye Aye?
17 posts and 5 images submitted.
>>
I remember when I was little and I told about the aye aye to some of my friends at school and they didn't believe me. I had to bring my animal book and show them like "SEE HERE NOW MOTHERFUCKERS WHAT DID I TELL YOU". I thought it was a pretty sweet win at the time but in retrospect, they must have thought that I'm pretty lame.

... Eh, what, the animal itself? No, I don't have anything on it except that I think aye ayes are pretty cool.

>>2082219

Dope as fuck. Name one animal that used echolocation to hunt that isn't top tier
>>
>>2082241
Bats are mainstreamish. :/ But they are still cool I guess.

>Did you neuter your dog, and why?
Is it the right thing to do, or is it a betrayal of one of your closest companions?

No responses from women please. Not a troll. It's just that I've never meant a woman who was against neutering. I don't think a majority of women can give an unbiased response on the issue. If your girlfriend or wife convinced you to neuter your dog, your opinion is non sequitur.

Thank you in advance.

nigga get over yourself. the dog doesn't know that they're gone. he's happier for it. literally. he isn't stressed out by aggression against other males caused by competition for females. he isn't constantly thinking about finding a female so he can get his jollies. he's less stressed and more calm.

dogs don't have the attachment to their balls that you do. if you're not a moron who projects onto his dog, there should be no problem with neutering.
>>
yes. same goes for spaying. reasons should be obvious.
>>
Neutered both the dogs. Female simply because I don't want puppies out of my bog-standard shelter staffie, male dog had one testicle that never descended so that was an easy decision (cancer risk increases significantly), but I'd have done it anyway. We do a lot of walking and running and I let them off-leash in appropriate areas so they can tear around at their own pace and dig and chase toys and shit. I think they're happier doing that than having to stay on leash walking at heel all the time because I don't know if there's another intact dog just out of sight.

A couple of days ago a neighbor knocks at my door asking to remove the guinea pig cage from my garden as rats are rabies carriers and the entire neighborhood had submitted a joint signed petition to the condominium administration to get rid of such public epidemic danger.

what am I gonna do with these imbeciles? I'm in trouble.

I don't get their logic. Does your town have a rabies problem?
Not sure where you live but rabies is extremely rare in rodents and rabbits and here in the US, they have never transmitted it to a human. You are far more likely to get it from a skunk, raccoon, fox, bat or dog.

http://www.cdc.gov/rabies/exposure/animals/other.html
>>
>>2084754
>rats
>guinea pigs
with any luck their petition says rats and you can keep your pets.

otherwise I'd suggest suing and moving, not necessarily in that order.
>>
People around here are not very big fans of logic, sorry to say...

yup, my town has a big major rabies problem... I moved to a third-world country like the philippines 3 years ago and just in my high-class neighborhood there's 3 rabies treatment centers due to many public epidemics of enormous rats, lizards, cockroaches and especially almost 500 feral street cats roaming just in these 2 dozen streets of my neighborhood... and just yesterday walking for 60 seconds down my filth and trash littered street I counted 30 cats eating rotten food and scavenging trash and more than half the houses have dogs also.

Which begs the question...

The main species that are well known rabies carriers are allowed to reach a population beyond the level of public epidemic to the point that it's necessary to have 3 rabies treatment clinics just in my neighborhood... but a species like guinea pigs who plays a negligible part is socially feared and publicly targeted?

What am I gonna do?

I'm in trouble and outnumbered by a neighborhood of office workers, housewives and sellers with IQs of primates and currently have to keep the guinea pigs in my kitchen because I don't have another place.

My cat is randomly freaking out hardcore.

I got this kitten back in Mid-december, He is about 6 months old now. I got him fixed about a week and a half ago, and everything has been fine this entire time.

He have always kept him in this huge room, occasionally letting him out to explore the rest of the house when someone is home.

He was on the other side of the room, and i heard him knock something over, so he darted across the room to where i was. i picked him to set him on my lap at my desk and he started freaking out and scratched me several times. He has never done this before.

I kept trying to pet him and calm him down but he freaks out every time i do, so i left him alone. He was sitting still under my desk, staring into the corner of the room where he knocked the small box over, and then randomly started to hop around like crazy and freak out again.

He is acting like every little move and every little noise scares the shit out of him and he will not move from the spot he is sitting in.

Anyone have any clue as to what could be going on?

I tried google.. and literally everyone is saying "There must be a ghost in your house! Cat's are very sensitive to paranormal activity!"

...

What's really going on with my cat? I'm starting to get worried.

I'd have to say that your house has a poltergeist or some other spirit in it. If you didn't know this, cats are -very- sensitive to such paranormal events.
>>
Just desensitize the thing. get a big stock pot, put it upside down over the cat and hit he pot repeatedly with a wooden spoon. It will get used to it after a while.
>>
Sigh.

Alright so, I have an 11 year old pug, I love her to death but she just will not stop shitting and pissing on the floor. She won't walk on the roads, she won't walk on the snow, she won't walk if the ground is slightly wet. Then when she gets inside she starts pissing or shitting and WALKS while she does it, so I have to clean up more. Any ideas on what to do?

>inb4 take her out frequently

she was outside for 2 fucking hours, and did it right away when she got inside. I'm at my wits end with this fucking dog.

leave her outside until she does her business. Then let her in.

2 hours is nothing. Leave her out for whatever it takes. 12 hours, 48 hours, whatever. It's up to her.

I was bitten by something in bed on my lower thigh this morning and I'm starting to break out from it. I'm not sure what it was because I freaked out and flung it and it must've gotten away, but there is a yellow line of stain on my leg where the bite is, possibly the guts of the bug or something. Please help me identify what it is

Discuss anything aquarium related here, including inhabitants, decor and issues.

Google is your friend.
Feel free to ask questions but know that there are a lot of resources out there that could answer your question a lot faster and accurately than /an/.

Make sure to include these things in your post before asking because we can't help you if we don't have the full picture:
-tank size
-parameters
-any and all inhabitants + how long you've had them

My cat got shot by a steel pellet gun, we went to the local vet and on the X-ray image you can see the pellet inside my cat, the vet said that luckily the pellet missed the lungs and the digestive system but the bladder might've been damaged, he sealed the wound without removing the pellet and told me to watch if my cat's urin is bloody, if i see blood, the cat should go for a surgery otherwise it wouldn't be necessary (said the vet). Is this OK? My cat just ate some fish and drunk some milk and now wants to cuddle so i am waiting now. Also i know that my next door neighbor is the only one possessing such a weapon and is known animal abuser but i have no other proof and i cant sue him, so before i go out and destroy his car do you have any other suggestions
