Some dogs are just born to be fetchers and some really don't give a shit. I had to teach my Aussie how to fetch. I started by crouching and having him directly in front of me, then rewarding him everytime he picked up the ball and dropped it in my hand. Once he got the hang of it, we increased the distance gradually over time. Now that he's actually pretty good fetcher, I don't use the food reward anymore cos the reward is throwing and chasing a ball.

Acana, split feedings over morning and evening and read the packaging after weighing your dog or there will be runny poops.

With any sort of bark collar, you run the risk of teaching your dog to make noise in a fashion that the bark collar does not detect. usually extremely high pitched. So keep that in mind.

I know right now you think you can handle it, but think of how much your dog barks now, and change his voice to something so high and shrill that it stings your ears each time.

Thanks. If it ever got to the point where he starts having accidents, I was wondering if I just put him in the crate while I'm away. I only really crate him when I'm asleep at night, and I let him roam around during the day, so I'm hoping this doesn't mess with his routine.

It's good for a dog to learn crate training, but after that you shouldn't be using it regularly unless it's the dogs then, in which case it should be open.

If he's not completely potty trained yet, however, definitely crate a bit when you first move until her learns that the house is his new area and outside is where he should go potty.
