Found this in my garden in the middle of the grass. I'm moving it to the flower bed so I can cut the grass tomorrow. Is this an orchid? What specifically is this? North Scotland if that's any help

Hello /an/ I found this little guy here, and I was wondering if someone knew what kind of sneak it is. If it is useful it has a mildly orange bottom, didn't take pic because I didn't want to stress it more.

Do you sleep with your pets /an/?

>>
Yep

Started out with the idea that "dogs are dirty, no dirty dogs in bed", but that changed when I got my puppy. I quickly figured out 1) it was easier for me to take a nap or sleep in if he was with me and couldn't get into trouble, and 2) he slept all the way through the night if he slept with me. I was getting up at 3am consistently before I slept with him because he'd wake up and need to pee and cry. When he slept with me, he never woke up during the night.

It's been like that ever since. Now I feel a little offended if he wants to sleep elsewhere.

Why are German Shepherd's back legs so stubby? Like it almost looks like they aren't able to stand up all the way.

Are they supposed to be like that? It doesn't seem like a very good physique for a herding dog.

Those are the inbred AKC standard. Working class german shepards that don't have a boatload of genetically inherited diseases look like perfectly normal dogs.

There's a reason why most german shepards who are used in police, rescue, and airport security are imported from outside of this country.
>>
>>2140918
Why are AKC standards so stupid?

How hard is it to get a real German Shepherd in the states?
>>
>>2140912
It's a show posture, their legs are normal length. It's called a stack, the back legs are bent to make the dog crouch a little.

So even though I'm aware that every dog is different and much depends on their upbringing, nevertheless I'm breedbrowsing to know what to lean towards or not take into general consideration, and I've come to the conclusion that there are only two types of dogs in the world: those that were bred for a use and look normal but have a complicated temperament or energy level, or those that are friendly but look like purse accessories. Are there any dog breeds that are healthy and normal looking, but completely useless and therefore untemperamental? Kinda like a bulldog with a non-crippled nose?

Cavalier King Charles spaniels are cute but not small enough that they're "accessories" and consistently recommended as the best companion dog. Maybe check out greyhounds as well? They need an occasional sprint but apart from that they're super lazy

He's in a bee suit. What could they possibly do to him? That being said, bee keepers are awesome.

Also, wasp nests are worth BIG money if you can sell an intact one (without any live wasps anyway).

It's funny as hell watching those wasps trying so hard to sting the camera.
>>
>>2138670
Why does it have to be intact?

What are the chances of a Dog that was put down to wake up because it wasn't successful.
I had my dog put down today and I'm have anxiety over the euthanasia being unsuccessful and her waking up at the crematorium.
The vet checked her heartbeat and there was nothing, how long would she have to check to be 100% sure. Her veins kept blowing out too.

>>
>>2142321
They don't make her sleep and then cremate her you idiot. They put her to sleep and then stop her hearth with an overdose
Actually the chances of the dog not falling asleep and the vet overdosing the dog while it's still awake are high, it happened to mine and I was there to see it
>>
>>2142321
Waking up after heart has stopped due to injection? Zero.
>>
>>2142327

You're attacking a non-existent argument, idiot.
I didn't imply that.

hi /an/, my dog got this red spot for a couple days now and I wonder if any of you would know what it could be? it doesn't seem to bother him that much (licks it from time to time), but it starts to get me nervous. I know /an/ is not a vet, but I'm broke and thought about seeking advice here. also thought about applying bagpipe ointment and a collar to prevent him from licking it.

so, whats your thought?
6 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>2142289
I have no idea what bagpipe ointment is. Maybe CALL your vet and ask if it is safe or a good idea to use on a dog? A nice vet will usually let you ask some questions.

A collar is a good bet though to see if it will go away on its own. Just be sure and accept that if it gets worse or starts to look infected, you need to go to the vet.
>>
>>2142299
gonna call tomorrow, a little late for that now. thanks.
