Does anyone know for sure what kind of spider this is? It is the best photo I have of it and it is from my daughter who is in British Columbia, Canada

I'm genuinely amazed by how every time I think I've seen the worst possible photo in an ID thread someone posts a worse one.

Somehow I can still tell it's a funnel weaver.

There's a mysterious plant growing in my coconut fiber! I'm getting a pacman frog soon so I prepped its tank 3 weeks ago it's nothing special just coconut fiber, moss to hide and A water dish. When I checked on it today I saw this little guy growing in the fiber, I'm certain no spores got in, and it's deffinetly not a moss, anyone know what this mystery sprout could be?

This happenes to me! I was so excited, but then i killed it by accident ): never found out what it was, looked similar, i had added frog mosa though, to the substrate, so maybe it came from the moss but it was not growing on the moss just on the substrate alone, really wish it was alive rn.

I have frog miss in there also but it's on the opposite side of the tub, I'm gonna Leave it be for now maybe transplant it when I get my frog, but I wish I knew what it was

So I rescued this from my cat about an hour ago and it's now safe and secure in a box with some soft material to lay on and a few things to hide in. Firstly, Is it a mouse or a rat and secondly what do I feed it?
4 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
It is a domesticated rat, oats, grains, eggs, fruits, seeds, it eats pretty much anything, just look up pet rat diet.
Also it looks young. Is it wounded?
You will need a cage with bars with small spaces between them, it will chew up a box in the matter of minutes.
>>
aww! you found a pet rat, and such a cute one! I wonder how it got there.

Is it unethical to dry out starfish and seahorses, to use as decorations?

>is it unethical?
seahorses, yes
starfish, depending on the species
>>
>>2187778
Obviously, it's not like they died naturally. A calciferous invertebrate like a starfish, I can mildly understand, but why anyone would want a dead fish in their house I can't fathom. Crown-of-thorns and other invasive shit should be allowed to be turned into tacky garish trinkets I guess.
>>
>>2187793
I'd buy the shit out of a huge dried out crown of thorns. Are those actually sold anywhere?

/an/ i fucked up really bad and i need advice

im bipolar and im currently being treated for it but lately it got really bad and for the past 3 days I've been doing the unthinkable out of impulse: ive been hitting my dog. not hard enough to make her cry but she'll cower a bit and grin. I've been having so much trouble keeping the impulse back and i can tell she's afraid of me. she won't come when she's called as easily, and she keeps her head low when she approaches me.

in the next few days im going to check myself into the mental hospital around here so i can fix whatever's wrong, but afterwards, how do i regain my dogs trust? what sort of activities/training/anything will get her to like me more

it's not bait or a copypasta, im for real in the mids of a bad spot and ive been getting really high and then getting angry at my dog for no reason
>>

well then take comfort in the fact that someone just like you posts here a couple times a year.

it's probably just you though.

for what it's worth I believe you, but I notice you haven't taken the advice of the thousands of people that have told you not to have a pet, so fuck you.

you're not worth trying to help.

hay /an/ the family dog of 16 years just passed away yesterday, im not sure how to deal with these feels, how am i Supposed to deal with pet death? the whole family is Pretty Devastated by the lost i saw it coming but am still feeling really down about the whole thing i don't really know what do to,

>pic related its our good old boy, from a little early this year

I don't really know how to deal sorry if this is inappropriate

It's tough as fuck to go through a loss like that OP, I'm sorry. Just remember all the good times you had with your pal and the mourning process will unfold naturally. You'll probably always be sad when you think about him in the future, but with time you'll be able to move on and feel normal again.
>>
>>2187678
why do you need to deal with feelings?
just feel them for as long as you feel them and then move on to feeling other things.

you're sad now? be sad, it's fine. After a while you won't be sad anymore and that's fine too.

between now and then remember to keep eating and working and wiping your ass and we'll all get through it ok.
