People mistake cities for being devoid of animals. That's untrue.

There was a show I saw (might have been Nat Geo) about how cities are paradise for birds of prey like peregrine falcons. They roost on skyscrapers and gorge on pigeons and squirrels. It was pretty cool, wish I could remember it's name.

What would happen if every single non-pet animal disappeared from a major city? Like all the rats, cockroaches, and pigeons all disappeared from New York City?

this guy is right, I have a few of those in my garden

but
>Painful bite
what?

have you ever experienced it yourself?
because in my experience, they only are able to break the skin where it is really thin (e.g. elbows, earlobes,...)

Also, they do not even try to bite

Me and my girlfriend are going across America (from Canada) to see wildlife.

Where are some fantastic beaches, deserts and forests to check out?

We'll be going to
>Nevada
>California
>Alabama/Louisiana
>Florida

I do hope to see some sharks near beaches at some point, alligators, scorpions, rattlesnakes and probably do some beach combing for nudibranches, octopus and stuff.

We do love everything though!! Any pointers would be fantastic!!

If you can try stopping by the Oregon Coast. It's pretty amazing and full of life. But otherwise for California any of the northern beaches will be more full of life.
>>
>>2190703
If ur going to Florida check out the Everglades besides the alligators and snakes. U can see the bottle nose dolphins

Good morning fellow /an/ime lovers,

I need some help identifying a spider I found in my house. Unfortunately, I already squished it so there's only a stain left on my wall. It was pretty big with a leg span like the palm of my hand, so I'm curious what spider it could have been.

-_- do you really think that anyone can identify a spider from a stain on your wall, when you could be living anywhere in the world?

I don't know, sorry I'm not really an expert on spiders. I figured since they can identify dead bodies even after an explosion or something this might work too.

If it helps, I made a sketch of what the spider looked like, kind of like they do on CSI miami.

I desperately need to find someone who left my country and is in trouble, I do not know where he is and he could be anywhere in this world.
All I have is this picture i linked, he uploaded it a short while ago.

Please help!!! Give me any insight you can get from this picture if you can.

Looks more like a crocodile. head-wise.

A very wild guess would be thailand or eastern africa.

Can you give us some background? What kind of trouble is he in? Why did he leave? Does he have immediate family? Have the authorities been notified? Are you some contract killer, ready to finish the job?

So /an/ do you bathe your pet and if you do how often and with what?

In my case I bathe my boa 2 to 3 days after it eats and after it takes a dump.
I usually use whatever type of shampoo I'm currently using.

So /an/ do you like your pets filthy or fresh?

I bathe my dog every other week. I use dog shampoo and then mane n tail conditioner. Bathing often helps a lot with shedding.

Do snakes enjoy baths?
>>
>>2193168
Why do you soap your snake? I'm no expert on snakes but I can't imagine that beeing beneficial to it.

Dog gets to play with the hose every day after a walk.
He loves water, it cools him down and keeps him pretty clean.

Just got my first ever fish, a betta fish and a 9L tank they recommended since they don't like open spaces. I have a thermometre set to 26C and a filter on the lowest stream setting.

As long as I feed him twice a day and keep using the conditioner and bio starter to make the water better, he should be okay right? There's nothing else I need to do for him other than sing for him?

Also name suggestions please.

do a partial water change at least once a week. change 30-50% of the water

personally I recommend 5 gallons or up for bettas, nothing smaller than a 2.5g though.
