In general, technology is evil. I'm probably going to Hell just for using the internet.

so is it safe for cats?
Hey /an/. There are thousands of these little fucks eating grass on my lawn. Are they bad or should I just let em be?
>>2195284
Light your lawn on fire and cleanse the filth
>>2195284
>Literally millions of species of insects
>Photo kind of looks like a caterpillar
>250,000 species of Lepidoptera.
>Is this bug bad
>>2195299
Apparently they are called armyworms and there are an abnormal amount of them, and this is the first time I've seen them here in 4 years.
Long story short
>broke up with gf of 2 plus years
>want to get a pup
>this will be my first pup that is totally mine and I can train and raise from the ground up
I plan to socialize him as much as possible, walk him daily, and take him camping as much as possible.
I need a dog that is friendly, loyal (takes orders well), will act as a guard or alert dog in case of break in or if me or my mom is being attacked.
I live in a hot climate in the summer.
I'll be at school and work most of the time during the week, so he'll need to be able to be alone for parts of the day.
What dog would you guys recommend?
I've been thinking about a doberman, german shepard, or some type of heeler.
>no bullies please
Could you guys also recommend some books or information on picking out, raising, and training a pupper?
Thanks
What's your experience with dogs so far?
>>2195280
>I'll be at school and work most of the time during the week
So think about the dog more than yourself and don't get one.
Dogs are social creatures, and leaving them alone for 8 plus hours a day is just plain cruel.
>broke up with gf of 2 plus years
>want to get a pup
what, do you plan to fuck it?
I always wanted to become a cat.
Does anyone else want to become at cat, and if so, why and what would you do?
i always wanted to be a cat so i could use a litter box
>>2195214
wouldn't mind it
>fuck around the whole day
>free food
>able to sleep on just about anything in just about any environment
>no sleep disorders
>no constant crippling exhaustion
>no difficulty breathing
sounds pretty nice actually

So long as I have a good human.
Hey /an/, my family got a cat from my uncles farm about a year ago to replace the cat we had before that.. anyway this cat always meows and seems to require constant attention when it isn't sleeping. We buy him good quality food and change his litter regularly so he's fine in that regard.
He gets very little exercise though, other than sprinting around meowing his face off. How much exercise/playtime should he be getting? I'd be willing to commit to some sort of daily playtime or training schedule if it made him more content in the long run! Any other ideas would be appreciated
Pic related is not him but that's what he looks like.

Doges are objectively better than cats.
so my cat can't seem to retract one of her claws
I found it stuck into her paw pad, trimmed it and pulled the tip of the claw out of the wound, but she hasn't been able to retract it since
she doesn't seem to be in any pain or anything, but should I take her to the vet? she's constantly licking it, although that might just be from the cut

Yes
So /an/, a spider (looks like pic.) just ran under my desk, which is right next to my bed. I cant move the desk, i fucking hate spiders, and i think you get what i want to ask, but anyways, how do i kill it? I tried flushing it out with deodorant body spray, but it didnt come out and i cant see under the desk
>>2195144
Dude it's a brown recluse
>>2195148
No its not, they dont even live in my country, i think its some kind of house spider
Step #1:
do not fear spiders. fearing spiders is a human instinct from times of old. it no longer applies.
Step #2:
refer to step #1
What the fuck is this?
>>2194949
It can only be a leech.
>>2194949
gesundheit
>>2194949
Flatworm.
Why haven't you bought your dog $225 Casper Memory Foam Dog Bed?
Because I have a memory foam bed and while my dog is allowed on it he usually chooses his own $35 bed
>>2194942
I sleep on a torn up futon on the floor. I ain't buying my dog no fucking casper bed, we're equals here. He can suck my ass.
Because my dog is the kind of idiot that will leap off her comfy bed and hurriedly go and lie on the single clean sock I just dropped on the floor while doing the laundry.
Is keeping fisch in a tank torture? You can never tender to the fish needs fully in such a small place, compared to their natural habitat
>>2194936
I don't think so simply because a lot of pet fish swim in small groups and don't move much in the ocean. The most they do is move to an area to eat and then swim around in circles anyway.
>>2194950
Ocean or whatever water they're found in.
>>2194936
Depends on the fish. Not all fish swim that far or NEED to swim that far. Also consider most fish we keep have been bred to be kept in tanks.
Consider pond fish or fish that live in somewhat broken up marshes like betta fish. Some fish keep relatively small territories so they're fine as well.
This is a deer thread. Post deer and talk about deer. Similar animals like moose are allowed too.
Bambi is a good book for deer fans, btw. It's much more realistic and somber than the books. Bambi's mom slowly begins to ignore him more and more after he's weaned. Faline has a twin brother and she is Bambi's cousin.

I love this photo of my cat , i think her position is pretty funny , so i was wondering if anyoane can do a little funny photoshop with it ( AirJordan , Michelangelo , etc..)
Cat - some assembly required
>>2194932
Im sorry. I dont know what to add to it.
Someone dropped this kitty here a long time ago asking for a shoop. I tried but couldn't make it work.
I kept the pic though, cuz I appreciate anyone who loves their pets so much that they share pics of them with the world.
We found this litlle fellow outside the house. He is clearly still young and can't fly.
I need you help/advice on the two following point :
>How much do he need to eat ?
>I found on him somes parasites (didn't think of making a photo but if I found more I'll do one). There were small (like fleas) but I don't know what it is.
I looked on the net how to take care of him (at least till monday) but this last point realy bother me.
Any help or advice would be nice and could save his little life.
>>2194916
wouldve been fine even without your help
Bump lol
I spend an unnatural amount of time wondering about how dinosaurs had sex. Did they have much of it? Did the land echo with the bestial roars of 'terrible lizards' getting funky? Exactly how massive was a T. rex's dick?
So many questions.
I made a joke thread like this once. There's a Vice article on dinosaur dicks if you are interested.
>>2194900
Are we sure dinosaurs even had dicks? Birds don't have dicks and they're modern dinosaurs.
>search catalog
>no actual bear thread
That won't do.
Reading Seekers has renewed my admiration towards bears. Bears are so cool.
>>2194897
I've liked them since I was a kid. I just haven't researched them much the last 5~ years. Plus, there's nothing wrong with fiction.
Does anyone knows the name of this abomination?
camel spider?
>>2194833
>killing camel spiders
I seriously hope you die.
(and no, they don't kill spiders. in fact, their bite can't even penetrate human skin)
>>2194839
>kill spiders
fuck, I meant camels*
