Can you tell me what kind of spider this is? Seen in Seattle, WA. Biggest I've ever seen irl. Back foot to front foot is a solid 3 inches.
>>2196026
looks like a giant house spider
Wolf spider
>>2196026
It's a funnel weaver, probably a giant house spider judging by the size. It can't hurt you if that's what you're worried about.
Hi,
today I found this pic. What breed is this magnificent dog? Does anyone has it?
>>2195986
Shit zu
Looks like a Doberman but too broad for one. Canis panther, probably? Don't bother though. It's not a real breed and the creators of them have gone through many issues with high aggression and behavioral issues in general to the point where they stopped selling them for awhile. Last time I checked they wiped that information from their website.
>>2195986
European line Doberman, theyre not tall and skinny like American lines.
I have an infestation of these tiny bugs in my pantry. Does anyone know what they are? They're mostly in flour/sugar/meal.
flour beetles.
throw everything out, wipe everything down, put everything in airtight containers. they're pretty harmless but really hard to get rid of.
>>2195949
I've already started throwing everything out. Is there any kind of bug spray I should get or just use hot water and disinfectant?
>>2195950
Just hot water and disinfectant. They'll go away when they run out of food, unfortunately you'll have to throw away anything that isn't airtight.
Found this baby rabbit in my kitchen, so I put it in a box. What do?
Add potatoes, carrots, leeks, sprinkle of salt and pepper, bring to boil and stew on a low heat until ready
take it to the vet

Put it outside.
Anyone here got experience with small plants that doesnt need much light that fits with a desktop ?
There aren't many plants that handle very low-light conditions for a long time, even the indoor shade plants generally need more light than an office provides. Even fewer of those stay very small. So regardless of what you get, expect to have to replace it on the fairly regular unless you also invest in a lightsource.
Air plants do pretty well, succulents such as the zebra plant stay pretty small, and on the larger end lavender generally handles being indoors well.
You could place a solar cell (combined with a battery for nighttime) near the window and drive a natural light LED with it that shines on the desktop plant 24/7.
Thanks to potfags, the growing LED stuff seems to get down in prices
My cat keeps trying to jump on top of this really high china cabinet.
She's managed to jump up there once, I don't have a clue how.
I'm worried she's gonna hurt herself and I don't know how to get her to stop trying to jump up there.
I've been trying to get her to stop attacking this picture frame for six months to no avail.
DAMMIT she just did it again and almost broke the glass.
Fill a tin can full of spare change and shake it when she tries to jump up there. Brown recluses hate that shit.

The weak should fear the strong.
Stop hurting that dog!

I'm the only animal on this board mother fucker. Here's proof, me choking my whore of a mum
Are you going to rape her later?
Has anyone ever shipped a pet before? I'm going to be moving next year and I have a cat that I want to take with me, and I'm trying to explore other options besides taking him on the drive with me, since it's going to be about a 2500 mile drive.
How much does it usually cost? Are there any services worth recommending? Or should I just take him with me and try to find pet-friendly hotels along the way?
Has your cat ever been in a car before? How did they react?
>>2195858
When I moved last year I just took him with me in a Pet Taxi, but that was a straight shot trip, about 10 hours. I stopped and let him out regularly of course, but for most of the actual driving he just slept through it.
This next move will be like three days, and at least two of those I'll be stopping and staying in a hotel.

How old is your cat?
Hey /an/, my sister got a shelter dog 2 months ago, he's around 8-9 months old, some sort of lab-hound-pit plus other shit mix. He's the one on the right his name is Rai. He's been about that size since we got him.
My Dad had been bitching about this free husky puppy he could score for free from a cousin's friend and went ahead and got him yesterday. His name is Hyoga, hes 10 weeks exactly today.
These two are me and my sister's first dogs ever, and the first time my parents ever own more than one dog, or one that small for that matter.
Anyways, Rai is young and outgoing, we're still trying to fix a small biting issue he has. I took this video of them playing, we keep them separate while Rai is off-leash, and let Hyoga out of his kennel while Rai is on a leash or place Rai in the kennel and Hyoga out.
Me and my mom did let them "play". Rai kept trying to pin Hyoga and Hyoga kept growling and trying to bite him. When Rai would manage to pin Hyoga he would start biting him. Once Hyoga started mixing growls with weeps we seperated them.
My main question is, how do we handle them living together? at least until Hyoga grows some more, he's still clearly not strong enough to handle Rai on his own.
P.S. Hyoga is kinda shy, he lets himself be petted but tries to run away when picked up, but doesn't struggle once in your arms. He also won't budge when we tried putting a leash on him for a walk. I'm guessing we got to give him plenty of treats. Any rec on what types of treats to give a dog this age and size? he didn't seem too eager to get Rai's treats even when we made crushed them up a bit.
He does eat his food pretty fucking fast though.
How did you introduce them? Did you go to puppy school?
If not just let them assert dominance
>>2195638
I wasn't there, but my parents had Hyoga in the car after just picking him up, my sister brought up Rai several houses up the neighborhood. Apperently Hyoga was really afraid at first, and Rai very excited (but Rai gets really excited at the sight of any dog). Hyoga was hugging the ground and my sis kept Rai from Hyoga until Hyoga went up to him. I don't know anything other than that since I wasn't there.
According to my dad, he heard Rai going around Hyoga's kennel for at least 3 hours last night, and when I woke up today they were trying to bite each other through the fence that separates them
>>2195638
>>2195643
also, yeah, we're taking Hyoga to puppy lessons later today.
He also has a litter box that my dad thought he could use to shit. He picked up that the litter box was for shitting right away, and he's still trying to figure out how to piss on it.
I don't like the litter box though, it makes kinda of mess since Hyoga isn't a cat, and he'll get on it sometimes barely avoiding stepping on his own shit.
Anyone knows where I can find/buy a Guinea Pig with the same colors I'm looking for?
I mean, if you go to a pet store, Craigslist or what have you, you'll only find what's available.
>>2195622
Do you mean a specific breed or just colors? If you're looking for a particular breed just look for breeders in your area.
>>2195622
Im not sure I understand the question. Are you looking for a specific breed, pattern, color pattern or texture.
I sense you live in a remote area. Otherwise I'd suggest just browsing until you find what you are looking for. Perhaps a pet store could special order one.
Perhaps consult with a cavy association. Cavies are a delight and serious breeders take their stock and breeding very seriously. You'll find no end of exotic and beautiful breeds.

Make points to argue AGAINST the existence of rescues/shelters both publicly/government funded and privately funded.
>>2195584
its easy to fall into having too many animals in a cramped space if the business isnt under control.
>>2195588
that's not an argument against their actual existence, but an argument against poor management.
>>2195584
Okay let me just do your homework. Use your brain
do gecko fart
>>2195460
Yes. Not often and not loudly but i have heard it a few times over the years.
>>2195529
absolutely fucking disgusting, how the fuck do people let them into their homes
Hey anons,
Dude with the 13 yo GSD here. Figured I'd update you. I'll keep it short and sweet, basically the surgeon recommended I do either total hip replacement or an FHO. He quoted my a $4800 for the replacement and $1850 for the FHO. Not sure which exactly I want to get done at this point. He told me that if I want to get the total hip replacement done I should do it within the next month otherwise complications are going to start to rise due the the dislocated femoral head grinding away bone from the hip socket.
I'm honestly unsure which to do, FHO is more affordable as I'm just a college student(for the next 8 months at least)... But it'd be nice to give her back total mobility in the hip. On the other hand I don't NEED her to be a working class dog who can run all day, her main function is going to be companion/guard(but not attack) dog.
Help me /an/, you're my only hope.

I cant hang around, but I am curious: could you maybe give more detail as to the payment structures available to you?
I dont have a knowledge base or familiarity with the issue to give qualified answers to your problem. All I could do address the logistics based on the information and layman context you can provide.
For example, I was about to ask if you could do one now and the other later. But I dont know enough about the actual medical issues to know if thats even a rational question.
So, I default to asking if you can get the replacement on a comfortable payment plan. Im sorry if it seems like a dumb question, but its the only thing I can ask in hopes of helping develop a resolution.
I'll check back later. And thank you for taking good care of your friend either way.
>>2195457
Seems pretty obvious to me:
Go the cheaper route. Dog is 13 years old. Give her some mobility back and call it a day. 5k is a fucking lot of money to invest in a 13 year old dog

>Go the cheaper route. Dog is 13 years old. Give her some mobility back and call it a day. 5k is a fucking lot of money to invest in a 13 year old dog
Sorry, 13 month old
>>2195491
>could you maybe give more detail as to the payment structures available to you?
Pretty much Care Credit or getting an increase on the limit of my current credit card. While I am just a college student who works part time I am lucky enough to not have any debt due to scholarships and such. I also live at home so I have no room and board expenses. With Care Credit I really need to get into contact with them to see what the monthly would costs come out to, they don't make it very clear(on purpose, no doubt).
This dog looks like a tiger
