Ok so I might have to go to the vet but I'm not even sure if it would be of any help

>no fleas (already checked and recheked and washed him wtih flea shampoo multiple times and didn't see any fleas coming out of his fur)

>dog seems healthy otherwise
>I live in Southern Ontario
>it has been a dryer than usual summer
Any ideas? I'm leaning towards dry skin, but the fact that this isn't the first time this has happened, and it happens exactly at this time of year, leads me to believe that it could be environmental, maybe some plant releases its pollen this time of year? I don't know. I would take him to the vet but last year all they did was to tell me to buy him some spray to soothe his skin...and it didn't work :( thank you

I would guess allergies, yeah. Take him to the vet, and ask thrn about how much antihistamines he needs. Dogs can have people allergy medicine, just got to dose it right. Would trust your vet to get this info instead of random ass shit you find online. Maybe if you call, a tech can just go ask the vet and ask you a trip.

I've been looking for an excuse to talk about mushrooms, mainly the ones that take over ants and burst out the backs of their heads. I think that's badass. And the ants know and banish the infected members from their nests.

This duck followed my mother 5 miles in a kayak on the river to our town. His top beak is broken and he is having a hard time picking up food. For the last 3 days I have been feeding him cat food, bread, and pretzels. He is very friendly and will let me briefly pet him. He stay at the same spot on the river and quickly swims over to me as soon as he sees me. What can I do for my pet duck? If I call the game commission will they just kill him to put him out of his misery? Obviously he won't survive the winter.
Yesterday I almost beat the shit out of some kids who were throwing rocks at him. They apologized and left. Had they said anything smart I would have thrown them into the river.

Any guesses on how this could have happened to him. I don't think he would have survived had he been born this way. My best guess is he got hit by a boat.

Hey /an/ I need some advice.
Basically I have this cat who gave birth to some kittens, I let her stay inside with them for a little while now as the kittens are extremely active and love to walk around, explore and play. These cats are meant to stay outside, the only reason I let them come in was because my grandmother was afraid the momma cat was going to carry them beyond the house (and die as this cat had a tendency to carry them somewhere where no one would find them, and eventually we would find them dead).
Basically I have been extremely patient and the kittens seem to love walking around the front yard and are calm. The momma cat is very anxious and constantly looking around, running meowing and then darting back to the door. She wants to go inside and when I open the door she just sprints throughout the house meowing. Doesn't she understand that her kittens are out there? I mean she sees them and licks them. I don't know how to make her stop, so I put the kittens back inside and she seems to have calmed down. What the hell do I do?

Looks like the beginning of kitty pink eye or a symptom of URI. Needs doxycycline or tobramycin, depending on what it is. While you're are the vet, get it fixed too. Mine a well save money on one vet visit, and they can best examine the cat while it's sedated anyway
