A 46-year-old woman has been hospitalised after being bitten by a crocodile while trying to take a selfie with the animal. Benetulier Lesuffleur was visiting Kho Yai National Park in Thailand with her husband when they defied warning signs and went off the trail to try and take a photo with a crocodile.

Just 'inherited' a 6 month old kitten from my deadbeat slutbag older sister. Pic related.

Can any kind anon recommend me a good brand of kitty food for him? I understand that most store brands are liquid shit made from government subsidized corn and artificial flavoring.

Also should I feed him wet or dry food (or both)?

And how soon should I get him neutered?

Orijen Cat & Kitten Grain-Free Dry Cat Food
Wet food is more of a reward than an everyday meal.
5 months is a good time to get his balls cut, since vets usually charge in consideration of your cat's weight and age.
>>
Look for meat as the top ingredient.

Avoid:

"By-product"
Corn
Wheat
"Animal" product (look for "chicken meat" rather than "animal meat". Companies can really cut corners by being vague about the ingredients.)

A good middle ground is items that use oat, sweet potato, or rice as filler if you want something budget friendly. If you have the big bucks, buy the stuff that is basically just a pile of meat as the ingredients.

Tractor Supply Co is a good place to buy from.

I use Purina pro plan but I know someone is going to jump up my ass for it. It's cheap enough and the only thing my cat will eat and not throw up. It's been 5 years so he's 7 now and his fur is exceptionally soft and shiny. Must be doing something right.

My cat drinks enough water but that's rare in cats. Watch your cats water consumption. If he drinks often enough you can just give dry but if he doesn't drink a lot I would include wet in his diet

My pupper had a cyst burst on his back and is on anti biotics now. He's 10 years old and has a couple other cysts. The vet bill was a lot of money so if I can avoid taking him if this happens again that'd be great. Is there anything I can do if more of his fleshy cysts burst?

Pic of cyst, it ruptured internally
>>
>>2291653
He looks like a trooper. I had one cut off my neck awhile back so I know his pain.
>>
there's not really anything you can do yourself if they rupture internally. if it just bursts through the skin, you can clean it and dress it like a regular wound. but if it gets infected, you'll need to see a vet.

Aight you cunts so here's the deal. This kitty appeared a few days ago in a state of fucking dying, but we gave her a blanket, a box and some foods and after two days she started walking around, checking out the backyard, and even managed to catch a mouse which she ate ostentatiously on our front door.
But anyway, the point is she's clearly a housecat because she nonstop is trying to get inside, and wants to get on my lap. Since it's getting cold we took her to the basement and spent some time with her so she can get accustomed to the new place, but all she wants is to be pet and hugged.

Wait that's still not the point. The point is I'm autistic and don't know what to do next. Take her to the vet is probably on the list but other than that, nfc.

Really it would be best if she became independent like the other cats that we "have" (I mean my mother feeds the two gays and they spend all day sitting at our front door.)

Does your dog know he did wrong?
My doberman killed the cat but it was kind of my fault as I would open the sliding door and say get the cat! get the cat!
He knew he did wrong but I didnt want to scold him so in a low stern voice I said "no bad dog, you did a no no"

Im a first time dog owner, so what I'm writing could be wrong or absurd but I need your advice /an/.
I have a puppy that's 3 months old (has been with us for a week) and he's being a cunt to all of us.
I still haven't took him out for walks because he hasn't finished his vaccinations yet, and I don't want him to get sick. Because of this he does his business on newspapers on the floor which I clean afterwards. Problem is more often than not he doesn't do it properly but does it on the edges of the newspapers and ends up messing up the floor. How do I make him understand to go on them? If I see him pissing or shitting next to them, do I say no, pick him up and put him on the right spot? Or do I praise him for getting close?
Another thing that bothers me is that he bites so much. I read this is normal in puppies because they have to grow their teeth and it's a painful process, but he still doesn't understand not to bite us. He fucking hurts. I read articles that have different opinions on the subject. Some say not to yell at your dog, some do, some that you should just say a firm "No", some that you should just ignore him not to reinforce bad behavior. I'm very confused. So far I tried saying No and giving him a toy to bite instead, but I read it's a bad idea because the dog interprets giving him the toy as a reward. Not to mention he loves paper and dragging the newspapers he pees and poops on around. It's unmanageable and I need at least someone else to hold him otherwise he doesn't let me clean his mess.
He's also being weird like Ive tried to play fetch with him but he just looks at the ball, walks a few steps and then sits down on the floor. This counts for every other game too, either this or he just runs around and chews everything in sight (everything but his toys. I usually leave them on the floor but maybe it's a bad idea because he doesn't end up playing with anything I guess). I can't tel if he's just sleepy or depressed.
Cont.

I think he's starting to understand his name, but other than this I dont know how else to train him. I tried with treats but as soon as he sees or smells one he won't stay put, he just jumps on my hand so I'm having trouble training him. The vet said he's still young so it's normal, but I don't know. I read posts that said they successfully taught puppies the "come" command in 48 hours after getting him. I can't even imagine that.
Am I going too fast? Am I asking too much of him? Should I start training him when he's older?
Sorry if I wrote this much but I'm desperate
>>
Twist or flop his floppy dog ears for being a cunt (NOT TOO HARD JUST SLIGHTLY) and when he bites you, Start playing with his dog ears until he wants to go but noo, Do it for more until he starts whinning
>>

>my newly living dog is having a difficult time with potty training
Do you not have a fenced in yard so he can run around, shit, and piss in it?
If yes but it's an issue of cleaning it up easily then just hose it down right after he goes. Your lawn will appreciate the free nutrients.

>biting
Chew toys, dingus. Ones that are appropriate for his size. I'd recommend Kong toys as my pups always prefer cutting their teeth on those every time. Also a bristled chew bone for when they're trying to chew with a particular part of their mouth.
>biting us
You should allow it as long as its not painful. When it becomes painful you should be stern, give a 'no', and playtime should cease. Disallowing it from biting you altogether will fail to teach it bite-inhibition, which could lead to a nasty biting later in its life.

>obedience
It's consistency, anon. A poorly behaved dog is poorly behaved because it was poorly trained by the owner.
>i want doge to sit down b4 i gib treet
Get his attention with treat.
Say 'sit' a couple times holding the treat out of his reach.
When he fails to sit, make him sit. Gib treat. Do this enough times and he'll get it.
>but i said 'come'
Same thing, tell him 'heel' or whatever you want the command to be. Make him and then reward him.

Help me /an/... this is Marley and I need some advice... he's a healthy dog and he's gotten really sick. For the past 3 days he hasn't touched food or water and has noticeably lost weight accompanied by watery stool... I don't have the money to take him to the vet and I'm worried I'm going to lose my dog... what can I do?

Is there a way to tell in these cases whether it's friendly or aggressive? I don't wanna whack with my stick a dog that doesn't deserve it, but I also don't wanna give a dog that could maul mine in seconds a chance to grab him.

no.
reach your hand out with palm up.

sometimes animals react to it.
>>
>>2290644

Put yourself between your dog and the new dog, it is important your dog is perceiving you stepping up to the plate and that you calmly have the situation in control. Nobody should have their dog off leash if that is the way it is approaching other dogs. The best place to strike a dog to inflict a quick low fuss correction is to tap the bottom of its jaw so it bites its tongue.

This is a 'pet' of bioluminescent life in the shape of a dinosaur, it will glow when shaken. Has anyone bought one of these? I kind of want one but I would feel a little bad if you can't really 'care' for the microorganisms, they just sit in there and die. I know I'm a pussy.

but does anyone have experience with this thing?

It says you can feed them (to some extent) but I don't know how long you can keep the colony reproducing.

I have had a jar full of seawater someone filled from a red tide and it did make bluish sparks when shaken. Lasted about a week, didn't know about what they consume. The thing is that I don't know if shaking irritates or damages them or not, and it seems mean to bang them around just for a little light show. Much better to see them in the surf.
>>

>I don't know how long you can keep the colony reproducing.
they say with proper care you can keep them reproducing forever. You'd have to buy food every now and then.

I suspect this is true. Dinoflagellates are a pest in saltwater aquariums that are almost impossible to kill off.
>>
I found a beach full of these glowing things. It was the most eerily beautiful things I've ever seen. I thought it might give me powers it was some radioactive waste but the seawater made me sick.
