What are some good names for the different cuts on a raccoon?

It's an art project for my new kitchen. It's a reflection of the one time I ate raccoon meat on a winter encampment in the everglades.

I'm gonna frame this baby so I want some clever names for the different meat sections.

Well, depends if you fancy being anatomically correct. I personally would go for muscles, but if you're going to do that then the issue is going to be your 'cuts' aren't really distinct muscles.

Here's the muscles on a dog anyhow.

wtf?! almost had a stroke there
Did they mean Canis lupus?

Also, I'm sure the op wanted to know the cuts as in "fillet", "collar steak",...
as with many animals
not "just" the muscle groups..

I don't think there's much of a tradition there as there is for sheep, pig and cattle. Probably he should go look on some indian forums or something.

I was at the gym going into the bathroom when I saw this cutie had one leg caught in its own Web. Lol I went and emptied my water bottle and took it outside. I just don't like killing spiders unless I find no other way. I'm not sure what kind it is, everything I've looked up just doesn't seem right. Anyone?

I have to wonder just what the hell you looked up if one of the most common cosmopolitan spiders in the world didn't show up.

It's a male orbweaver. Araneus diadematus unless there's some obscure species I've never heard of wherever you live that looks exactly the same.

Just looked it up, they could only find 30. They're debating whether ocean pen breeding that could possible injure the animals during capture, or Mexico trying to further try and enforce a gill net ban that isn't fully enforceable is a better option.

Let's talk about the most most amazing birds (from an evolutionary point of view)

Isn't it weird how there are no livebearing birds?

There are fish, reptiles and amphibians who do, and there's egg laying mammals, but no such exceptions among birds.

No really. Moreover, there is many types of strategies (regarding eggs) among birds. For example, superprecocial birds. Like the amazing maleo and others megapodes.

Aliens have come to "awaken" an animal species of your choice to the intelligence level of humans as well as modify them/give them tools to be able to navigate and contribute to our world.

Which animal species do you pick?

Hard Mode: No domesticated pets
Nightmare Mode: Livestock

Redpill me on the Loch Ness Monster, /an/. Is it possible this thing could exist, or is it just a hoaxed load of crap? Scientists found out giant squid were real, so why not an evolved variant of the plesiosaur?

It's easy to not find some deep sea animal. Not so easy to miss some giant air breathing reptile in a lake.
>>
Volume of the world's oceans: 1.35 billion cubic kilometers

Volume of Loch Ness: 7.4 cubic kilometers

Finding a live specimen of a giant squid when they primarily inhabit the lower depths of Earths oceans is a lot harder than finding a fucking dinosaur in a lake. There is no way a stable breeding population could be hidden in a lake like that.

Just pictures of foxes. Red, silver, fennec, whatever. If it's a fox, post it. Bonus points for foxes doing cute things (like this one, smelling a flower), but any good pic of a fox is welcome.

First of all, happy late caturday.

Second off, this is my little meow. Her name is Derp. She was born without her eye (it's just an empty socket) and has no trouble walking around, jumping, or really anything that involves motor skills. She gets around just fine.

The problem is allergies. Her eye socket is greatly affected by pollen/dust/wind/etc... And sometimes she scratches it to the point where she's bleeding. She's mostly an inside cat, and she still suffers from these allergies. Is there anything I can do for her aside from just having a clean house and keeping her inside on high wind days?

I caught a house mouse. He was a pest, pooping everywhere with his buddy ol' pal who I have yet to catch. I caught him 2 days ago but have not released him because it is -20C outside and lots and lots of snow.

What should I do? I can't really take care of it in the cage because it refuses my food and water.

>>
What are you trying to feed him?
>>
>>2314163
Peanut butter, cookie, rat food, hamster bars, rabbit food, old scraps from the kitchen which she usually likes when not in a cage.
>>
An aquarium with a mesh top would be a better home for a house mouse than a wire cage, actually. They're more secure.

As far as water goes, you might consider putting a shallow water dish on a saucer instead of giving a water bottle. Some mice don't really get how to use the bottle.

Also make sure to provide a hide of some sort, and a wheel (I like the "flying saucer" style of wheel. Get the medium size. The smallest size is way too small for just about anything.

As far as food goes, try feeding rolled oats and blueberries. Most animals (obviously excluding strict carnivores) will take those foods very readily.

1) Is it cruel to keep a cat in an apartment?

2) if yes, does having two cats so they have company, make it ok?

3) do cats even have a strong concept of indoors & outdoors? Or are they content to be fed and watered
