I honestly never met one of these dogs (Jack Russlles) that was even passive, they always are so aggressive for literally no reason. My friend's mother has one she basically treated like a child i.e. let in bed with her, held it like a baby etc. Its now 10 and its like a fucking anti christ, it will just have these random chimpouts. The other day I was just sitting on the couch with them watching TV, the little fucker just starts snarling at me and stripping his teeth. I just ignored him and the next thing he just went right for me, obviously he couldn't do much since all I had to was jump up on the chair, couldn't kick him OFC.
What the fuck is their problem ?

This usually happens with most of these small breeds because people buy them for companionship but forget that they must be disciplined like any other dog. I honestly don't know how much genetics play a role here but the owners are to blame for not training them.

>I honestly don't know how much genetics play a role here
a lot of them, especially terriers, are high energy breeds and have high prey drives. giving them no exercise or training will turn them into little demons.

small terriers are actually goat tier pets if you're not an idiot
smart and fierce while at the same time tiny and cute
it's a deadly combination

i germinated a seed for about 48 hours, i saw the radicle coming, so i put it in soil outside and watered it. i'm in the south so it's pretty warm already here (70F nearly everyday this week) and its in direct sunlight for most of the day.
I'm not trying to be impatient, but I haven't noticed anything after 48 hours in the ground and was wondering if there's anything wrong with putting the radicle in the ground right after germinating.
like there's a few ants/aphids crawling around would they eat the sprout? it does get to about 55F at night, could this stunt/kill growth?
this is bud btw

found ur problem
That's cold at night especially for a seedling could stunt it. Not much you can do about bugs with it being a seedling try putting a couple sticky traps around it for now. Just water and sun for now.

Are you saying seeds can't sprout outside?

I just bought some sea monkeys. I've been wanting to pick some up after watching a short documentary about them and their inventor, Harold von Braunhut.
I did some googling after finally finding them in stores, and I learned about the whole issue with the counterfeit sea monkeys. The packaging still claims they are the Artemia Nyos, but I'm not sure that's the case? Does anyone have any more information on the things?
I don't think it really matters, as long as they live a similar amount of time and everything, but I just like the idea of having a pet that was crafted by a neo-nazi in a pseudo-eugenics program.

How long do cats remember people? My cat which I had since I was a child went missing about 3 years ago when we moved to a new town, and I thought she was dead. However my mother just sent me a photo of my cat alive and well. Apparently some people found her and kept her and have been taking care of her for the past 3 years. Do you think she's forgotten about me?
>inb4 cats
I don't usually like cats either, but she was special to me.
>>2330680
I don't think she's forgotten. Cats aren't dumb. Go see her. Even if she doesn't jump on to you to exclusively purr on your ass, treat her as any stray. Gently and patiently. You might find warmth there, and that's what means most to you, right? To be loved by the cat you love?
Unless you guys are going to tear her from her new family I don't see how they won't allow you to go see her. It will be hard to thank them too, but please do. Gogogo see the cat
REUNITE WITH HER!
And make sure you thank those people for keeping your cat safe and happy!
What's with the hate towards indoor cats? I understand hatred for outdoor cats, but why indoor?
>inb4 "shit tier animal"
But why do you wish death to them? Just because of outdoor cats?
Also idc if they're "shit tier" they're comfy asf.
>inb4 "only love you because you provide to them"
I can say that about any other animal. Also I'm not one for anecdotal evidence but I used to live with 2 cats when I was a kid. My mom fed them and I showed constant affection to them. And surprise surprise they hung around me more. So atleast I know that to be false to myself.
Y'all really don't have an excuse at this point. I understand they're posted about a lot here but you can't just hate them for that.

Here comes the shitstorm.
I choose not to have cats for several personal reasons, none of which are relevant to this discussion.
I have no problem whatsoever with someone else's cat.
I don't like lazy or ignorant owners who fail to take responsibility for their animals.
I also understand that /an/ is piss easy to bait.
Because I have an understanding of all this I have an answer to u our question OP.
It's because some people are assholes.
Alright anti-catfags. Take your time.
How can one determine ones spirit animal with certainty? Have you discovered your spirit animal, /an/? What is it? It took over a month of deep meditation and contemplation but I'm certain my spirit animal is the American bison.

Have you ever run into one of these terrifying creatures?
Yeah, they usually leave humans though. They just want to sit in the wet dark and hunt bug flesh.
I used to squash them out of creepiness, but now try to leave them alone because of said realization insects/invertebrates are intelligent and can feel pain.
My villa in Croatia was fucking swarming with them. But it wasn't exactly them because these ones had wings. I kept a bottle of insecticide on me at all times.

Duba decides? If so Fluffy knickerbottoms
So we have a rescue dog, mostly sure she's whippet/pit bull mix. She's been very sweet if extremely hyper but I'm worried about her sudden show of aggression around other dogs today.
When we went to the vet a four month old golden retriever wouldn't stop pouncing on her. She growled and showed her teeth. That was pretty understandable but she shied away from other dogs most of the rest of the visit.
Tonight we were approached by a German Shepherd off his leash. I know this dog so I encouraged her to sniff him. She was fine, even when the second shepherd came up.
Then the owner's boxer came to investigate, one of the shepherds started barking and she freaked out. Like, FREAKED. Snarling, barking and snapping. The owner came and got his boys and as soon as they were gone she was fine.
I'm just a little worried at how aggressively she responded. It was probably the shepherd barking that scared her, but I'm not sure how to handle this.
Need more info. How was her body language? Did she lunge, bite? How was the other dogs language, did they instigate it?
Most of the time you can tell how your dog is feeling just by looking at them. Being able to read dog body language and being able to remove them from the situation if they're distressed is a key to preventing conflicts.
Anyway, any encouragement or advice would be appreciated. I just want to make sure I'm not making excuses for her, or alternately, giving her too much credit. I've just never had a dog react aggressively like this.
